When I did my Faroe Islands story it was as an offshoot from my Ross County story so that made it a lot better for me pplaying-wise. Means it takes a lot longer of course, but you have the club interest as well as the international interest.

I did mine in CM 03/04 though and had attribute masking on which is a nightmare cos you have to call up players to your squad and then release them again to see what they are like! Thankfully that isn't the case in FM though so don't worry if you start a game with attribute masking on there and manage a small nation

how did you manage to manage a nation like the Faroes on 03/04.

I have no idea how to get to manage a nation whose league is not an option to run on the game.

any advice would be appreciated

You can include a .ddd or .ddt file telling the game to retain all players from a certain nation, but I can't remember the exact format of the statement now - I'm on work PC, not home PC currently.
