how long, in terms of FM Seasons would you class as a short-ish challenge if we are not looking at long term stories!

I think we would encourage long-term stories in that we would hope thet the challenge would be interesting enough to run for several months. In terms of seasons I would say that the goals should be achiveable in maybe 10 to 15 seasons - others may have a different viewpoint. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I probably won't find the time to do the challenge myself so I should probably keep my oar out :p, but anyway, it's not a controversial comment so here goes...
In general, I'd say that the more leagues are required to be included, the shorter the challenge should have to be (within reason - not just 1 or 2 seasons obviously) because my biggest problem with the LotR challenge that I abandoned was that my game was too slow to run. On the other-hand, my Ross County Lisbon Lions challenge game ran for 15 seasons and I still return to it from time to time. As far as completing the challenge goes, I obviously didn't technically complete that one because my main manager managed the Faroe Islands whilst I eventually added another to manage Scotland, but it would have been completed in ~10-12 seasons had I done it correctly, which would have been just about right as far as length goes.
