I have yet to find one decent regen with 5 or more stars in potential. Im in 2016 and every regen seems to be 1,2,3, stars at most.

Are people getting this?

My scouts are decent and I send them out all over the world but all them seem to find me is players lower then 4 stars.

I'm only in 2010 but I can see already using Mini scout that there are 3 players who have a PA of 190+ and they are all 17 or 18. Aswell as that there are about 8 with a PA between 180 and 190.

So that is 11 world class regens and that's only 3 years in.

That seems ok to me.

It's simply because scout and regen's abilities have been toned down for FM08, which is excellent by the way.

No longer do players max out their PA by the age 18, if you're at a big club, I find that I almost always buy players age 23+.

The reason scout stars always seem low is simply because scouts can't gauge a player's abilities very accurately anymore. Especially when they're young and their stats look poor.

All this simply adds realism. IRL a scout can't go, "This kids' pretty poor all round right now but I reckon he's got a PA of 190 so we just need to train them."

The same players, by the age of 23, would be looking heaps better and closer to their true potential. So even when they're young and scout report isn't great, they might turn out to be great players, but then again, they might not.

Im judging the players off their PA stars from the scout report. Where do you get mini scouts from?

Does PA change now?? Was unware of that.

Your scouts can very often misjudge a player's potential. I think what DJ Complete is referring to is the MiniScout utility - basically a savegame editor. If you're interested then go check the editor forum.

miniscout is programme that tells you the CA and Pa of players and staff.

They don't change, it's just your scout can't judge accurately how good a player's PA is when they're young.

I've read conflicting stories on here about regens. Some people say there's not a problem and others complain there aren't many at all.

I read one post saying the national teams were full of 30 + year olds because the regens just weren't good enough for international football.
