Oh yeah sorry had to restart my pc..first game palermo had 11 shots 5 on target all saves by super kaka 
We had 22 shots 15 on target..but as you all can see the oponents gk got MOM |

| No, he actually puts them in the natural position disregarding the attributes. Ass Man will play KAKA as a keeper because the game tells him that his natural position is a keeper, despite not having keeper attributes.
With these first tests though it has been proved that Ass Man does not take into account any attributes!!! :eek:

Lyvean, we already knew that, Coaches, Scouts etc only take CAs and PAs into account, there has been a discussion before (see discussion "CA/PA time for a change?").

Wrong.
A while back I saw a post taken from an SI statement on how the game works. The match engine uses the attributes to sum up how well a player is going to do in every specific area.. EG :
Striker has 20 finishing and he has a shot at goal, the game will randomly sum between 1 & 20 (It may have been between 10 & 20, I can't remember if it changed if a player goes over a certain stat number) for how well the shot is going to do, the keeper will do the same with his stats and the result will be displayed on the screen.
Thats how the match engine works, or at least that is how it did in 2005 if I remember correctly.

RB,
That's all good and well quoting from SI. That is indeed the way the game is meant to be simulated (although in a much more intricate fashion). However, people are using the game to test out the mechanics, and it is starting to look more and more like the game doesn't look at attributes as much as we've been lead to believe, rather it sounds like the match engine simply takes the easy route and looks at CA, and positional ability.

One more game played vs siena..not alot of shots to test kaka on goal..but he made 3 saves. He cant control the ball after he block the shots tho, 14 reflexes and 18 agility makes him able to do so. Most shots has been from distance which makes a save even more easy.
We won 1-0, and again a MOM to the oponnents gk 16 saves out of 28 shots |

| The match engine does no such thing. The problems with super-keepers show this quite well, as keepers generally have a lot of high stats in the higher leauges (more so than outfield players) and so they save a lot more because of that.
However, I may agree that the transfer market takes into account PA & CA over attributes, as that seems quite obvious this happens since CM3.

In addition. CA means higher attributes, higher attributes mean that the match engine will favour the players with them in general.
