Vista is vastly more prepared for compatibility than XP ever was. Hell I'm even running 64bit and have no drivers issues, no compatibility issues and a performance increase that frankly humps XP.

XP with all it's updates and service packs is extremely bloated and slow.

As for this Vista resource hog ****, Vista utilises more memory as it holds more processes there, it's what makes it better than XP with it's bloody pagefile dragging it's ass an hour behind. Add Readyboost to Vista and your laughing.

Heh, not defending it, just not accepting unfounded crap being thrown at those of us using it. The blooper was 'c r a p' which is hardly swearing, merely an accurate description of the suggestions being purported, so trust me there's no twisted knickers here, just knowledge of OS deployment, network design and admin, and global comms which allows me a fairly sharp opinion in the face of rumours and gripes about OS's.

Each has it's perks and quirks, and that's that.

Nah, nothing relevant to add really. My post was almost as irrelevant as your bragging to be honest. I was just worried that some people may miss your 4GB of god knows what (I'm hopeless when it comes to those damn computer things), so I decided to give the whole thread an upper. We don't often see wealthy people in these forums, so you must understand my enthusiasm to share you with our fellow members. May you prosper even more in life. Thank you for that wonderful manifestation of the individual angst of one who feels threatened by the extensive vocabulary of others, and is compelled through his own insecurity to challenge such literacy (somewhat ironically given his impotent arguing position), as a sign of arrogance or compensation whilst managing to look entirely quite ignorant through his needless verbal assault in response to being challenged over the subject at hand.

My comments in relation to my Vista findings and experience are entirely in keeping with the subject of the thread, should you feel the need to troll in search of attention please at least try to follow the thread rather than losing your temper like a petulant brat just because I've quoted your unfounded sweeping generalism in relation to Vista and had the 'Mikealdo' enraging audacity to disagree with them.

At least argue your point in relation to the OS's in question and their perceived effects on FM performance rather than having a prepubescent 'pop', especially since the anti-Vista rant combined with a RAM counting jibe simply smacks of someone who's gotten themselves all boxer-shitten over not having a system that can support Vista.

It remains to be seen whether you are prepared to discuss the matter at hand 'slower on vista?' or whether you will pursue this somewhat hypocritical attempt at 'flaming' in the face of open debate and sensible argument.

I still contend that XP also gave birth ' to a million 'compatibility issue' threads in forums across the internet' and that Vista was better prepared.
