No, I don't know for sure it isn't a fake but I prefer to think not. My friend who passed it along was the head nurse in charge of ICU at Stanford University Hospital for many years. I'd like to think she would know. [confused]

Other comment would be the foot appears to be just inside the outer skin,and therefore no abdominal muscles on top which would negate the toes popping out as they do and having the plastacine type effect.
