Ive found a few players on fm 08 that may be of some interest to you.
I also know how to improve them massively in such a small amount of time.
Mathieu Saunier - Unprotected contract - Bordeux
Miralem Pjanic - Unprotected Contract - FC Metz
Lulinha - About 4 million + % of next sale - Corinthians. (he is an attacking midfielder but i reccomend you train him to be a striker as he scores shed loads of goals)
Grozav(not sure of his first name) - Unprotected contract - some Belgium team. (He comes into the game in the 2008/2009 season.
Henri Saivet - Unprotected contract - Bordeux
Joao Carlos - About 3million - Sao Paulo
Breno - about 5 million - Sao Paulo (the next Lucio!)
These players will make your team well better as it balances out you line-up
The best way to improve these players in the short term is to give them regular first team appearances while they are still young.
Also make sure that they do a heavy training regime and you give them a good player to learn from, i.e. Mario Yepes.
