Default the great big OTF FM08 online experiment

20 players. 20 teams. One great big mental FMO experiment.

That's the idea anyway. We've gathered together 20 of OTF's finest and bundled them all into the Premier League.

We're playing Sunday evenings, tonight being our second session. Bit late getting a thread up here, but at Goldy's request - here it is.

If you want to see what's gone on so far, we have a thread here which has largley been used for getting things sorted;

http://community.sigames.com/eve/for...5/m/5492011053

I'm not sure whether we're going to do reports and such, but I suppose if the demand is there, we may well be tempted.

Progress has been slow pre-season, but we all expected that. The squads are beginning to shape up and I've got the feeling it's going to be rather brilliant once we hit the season start.

The new-look Premier League now appears something like this:

Arsenal - mallen102000
Aston Villa - xnellyrx / Pickles
Birmingham - Prong
Blackburn - Lovejoy!
Bolton - James M / atvkwkad
Chelsea - Jambo4eva
Derby - DeafParrot
Everton - CasFan
Fulham - qwerty2k
Liverpool - Andy Jordan / RedefiningForm
Man City - wisla_krakow
Man Utd - goon
Middlesbrough - Arjen Robben
Newcastle - Matthew Le God
Portsmouth - Tilla
Reading - Jambo
Sunderland - Emperor J
Tottenham - poyplemonkeys / Matt Cavenagh
West Ham - Jonno-Blood
Wigan - foxmad

Some players are backed up by an assistant manager for the sessions they can't make, and we may branch out into midweek sessions. One step at a time though for now...

I was a late addition/callup to the great big OTF Fm08 Online experiment as i was overlooked when i first declared my interest in the post.

I have taken up the challenge of Fulham, the numpty before me has already spent some of the money, including buying Nicky Butt .

Im 1000-1 odds to win the title, so i guess that isn't going to happen .

I think i shall do well to avoid the drop, haven't made any big additions or sales from my squad, so essentially just going to play the same team that Fulham play in real life.

My first game in the league is against Chelsea, i shall be scouting the charity shield intensely as to ascertain the danger men for chelsea and formulate a plan to counteract their threats and create them problems of their own.

Without giving too much away too soon before the game, im feeling a defense 4-1-4-1 counter attacking formation may be on the cards as i have the players to suit it, especially after the previous manager bought nicky butt (dmc).

Trying to get collins john to sign a new contract, he is unhappy as i rejected a 5million bid from Middlesborough for him, he is probably my best striker and i will need him to be in prolific form if i am to survive this season, which is why i feel i will be vindicated in my decision not to sell him come the end of the season.

Only really had a brief look at the squad so haven't entirely made my decisions about who is going to play and who has not quite got the quality to make it in the Fulham first team and lead us to premiereship survival.

more updates to follow as and when i lose

If I can keep my job long enough I'll have an awesome midfield in 2 years. Woods, Piatti, Mihelic \o/

After taking over a very average Birmingham team I've managed to transform them into title hopefuls. My odds of 500-1 is the epitome of this transformation, gonna have to spend £500 to get a £1 back. Clear favourites.

Goalkeeper, left back, left wing, right wing, central midfield and striker were my serious weaknesses so I've looked to try and bring in a few players.

Team is currently:

Hilario \o/

Quedrue/Babayaro
Djorou
Rafael/Ridgewell
Parnaby

Leonardo
Oubina
Kapo
Dessena

Viduka
O'Connor

Currently trying to secure a few more signings, with rumours that Dos Santos is on the move since he was spotted giving directions to a Brummie holidaymaker.

This game looks like it will be great, got human players in my first three games. First game is against Jambo's Reading and will prove a good indicator of how I should do.
