18.2.07

Preseason. Friendlies only.

LLaMa cup won by Berwick

Game patched to 7.0.2

East Fife

Won my first 2 league games. Out of 2 cups at the first attempt, only 1 more cup to get knocked out of now. Lost 5-0 to Albion Rovers. Pathetic display.

5th after 3 games.

Stenhousemuir

League

0-2 v Arbroath (Del) (h) was 0-0 at HT but then Michal's babysitter put in an appearance

0-1 v East Stirling (Gil) (a)

1-2 Forfar (h) my pc went haywire just before kick off so couldn't influence the match at all

1-2 v Berwick (cyber Chris M) (a)

0-0 v East Fife (Chris F) (h) my only non-defeat of the session (shame on you Chris)

1-2 v Queen's Park (Cyber Keith) (a)

1-2 v Dumbarton (Simon) (a) still sore about this one

So rock bottom with just two points from 10 games and already cut adrift.

Scottish Cup

1-2 v East Fife (Chris F) (a)

11/03 Updates

Montrose

v Dumbarton (Simon) (H) 1-0 played most of the game against 10 men, but didn't score until the 89th minute with my 17th shot
v Elgin (cyber-Devon) (A) 3-1
v Albion Rovers (Del) (H) 1-0 (slightly undeserved)

Scottish Cup R2
v Queen of the South (H) 2-3

v East Stirling (A) (cyber-Gil) 0-3 We were s**t
v Forfar (H) 2-0
v East Fife (H) (cyber-Chris F) 1-2 **** poor again. Some players are going to get fines soon.
v Berwick (A) (Chris M) 4-2
v Stenhousemuir (H) (Dave) 2-1

So 6-0-2 in the league this session. 4pt lead maintained (over East Stirling) with QP another 3 pts back.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Berwick

I turned up, not sure that was a good idea.

My only highlight really was contributing to Nobby's demise!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Queen's Park

Mostly happy with tonight's session - although our strikers inability to finish the many chances our domination of possession gives them is a worrying trend...

Dumbarton 1-2 QP - This was a lot more comfortable than the scoreline suggests
QP 0-0 Berwick - We should have won this.
QP 2-1 Coldstream (Scottish Cup 2nd Rnd) - They finished with 9 men and again we should have won by more.
QP 2-0 East Fife - Young striker ends 9 hour goal drought.
Elgin 2-3 QP - came back from being behind twice \o/
Stenhousemuir 2-0 QP - 54% possession 9 shots 0 on target - this is starting to show a pattern... we tend to get most of the possession in games but our strikers don't seem to be putting them away like they should.
Albion Rovers 1-1 QP - bore draw
East Stirling 1-0 QP - a red for us put paid to any chances we might have had, and again, there's that confusing formation to deal with...

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Stenhousemuir

A bit of a curate's egg, but much better than previous sessions

1-1 v Elgin (H) (Cyber Devon) (be a shame if you quit Devon)

0-3 v Albion Rovers (A) (Del) a real drubbing

1-1 v East Stirling (H) (Cyber Gil)

2-1 v Forfar (A) Our first win of the season

0-0 v Berwick (H) (Chris M)

2-0 v Queen's Park (H) (Keith)

2-3 v East Fife (A) (Cyber Chris F)

1-2 v Montrose (A) (Michal)

Off the bottom, but only just

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dumbarton

Sacked. Never mind.

18/3 sessions

Montrose

A poor session tonight, but no-one else wanted to take advantage, so I remain in 1st place, 3 pts ahead of Queen's Park

Queen's Park (cyber-Keith) (A) 0-3
Dumbarton (A) 1-2
Elgin (cyber-Devon) (H) 3-3 (from 3-0 up FFS)
Albion (Cyber-Del) (A) 1-0 \o/
East Stirling (Gil) (H) 2-2
East Fife (Cyber-Chris F) (A) 4-1
Forfar (Cyber-Simon) (A) 2-0
Berwick (Chris M) (H) 2-3 A gay red card after 14 minutes did for us, and we only lost in stoppage time
Stenhousemuir (Dave) (A) 3-2 lucky, lucky, lucky

--------------------------------

Berwick

Excellent session for my team, wins all the way.

I'm 4th but only 4 points off 3rd now.

A couple of U19s are performing excellently at the moment.

\o/

-------------------------------

Stenhousemuir

Another mixed bag of a session ...

0-3 v Dumbarton (H)

2-1 v Elgin (Cyber Devon) (A)

3-0 v Albion Rovers (Cyber Del) (H)

3-3 v East Stirling (Cyber Gil) (A) comback from 3-0 down, made even better by Gil watching in IRC

3-0 v Forfar (Cyber Simon) (H) a drubbing for Simon on his debut as Forfar manager, but I forgot to praise the team

0-5 v Queen's Park (Cyber Keith) (A)

0-3 v Berwick (Chris McG) (A)

2-2 v East Fife (Cyber Chris F) (H)

2-3 v Montrose (Michal) (H) he's a very lucky boy ... most offside goal I've seen in ages and then a tactical blunder by yours truly

Ninth with a small cushion over Devon.

===

Stenhousemuir

Lost 2-3 away at Dumbarton and then got the sack.

Yet to find another job (though I left early last night so something may have materialised).

===

Berwick

Another decent session, makes you wonder what would have happened had I not been so absent at the start of the season!

Finished just outside playoff spot, hopefully next season will be better. I have some good young players who have proved themselves in the 'big time'!

[Brag] I have a 16 yr old striker who averaged a goal every other game which I am chuffed about! [/Brag]

Additional 1/4 Update:

Forfar Athletic

LLAMA LEAGUE
Couldn't give a s**t about it, but did find it amusing how I lost my first game 4-1, lost my second game too and still finished second.

DIVISION THREE
Played one match, I think I won but I can't remember for sure and don't remember who I played either. I'd lost the will to live by this stage with the snail pace pre-season.

8/4 Updates

Berwick

Tonights session for me was absolute rubbish. Ass Man got us to 2nd, I got us to 9th!!

===

v Morton (H) 2-2

v Queen of the South (A) 1-0

Cups

League Cup
R2 v St Mirren (A) 0-4
