Default Jsa's South African Challange

OK well this challange is in now way unique and is clearly influenced buy Dafuge and Gundo's challanges if not lets be honest copied from them. Just decided this could be fun in a differnt and from what challanges i have seen unused country or even continent.

Unfortuantly there seems to be only one playable league in the african nations hence the choice of South Africa.

The Aim

To take a small club who were previously unplayable in the game from the SA First Division to SA Premier League,African Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup Glory

The Rules

Load a game with the South African leagues only, with the First Division, a large database (or smaller if preferred) and the attribute masking and the transfer boxes ticked. Due to the lack of players of south african nationality and the likelyhood of any non african players coming to your club at least untill you have won a few cups you are allowed to choose to load Players from up to 3 other african Nations, the choice of which nations is yours.

The extra levels of detail that you can change while in the game are up to you, as they shouldn't make a difference.

Add yourself as an unemployed manager, the details are not important at all. I like to call mine 'Holiday Man'.

Go on holiday until 1st July, this shouldn't take that long, perhaps about an hour. This will bring you to the end of the previous season a few days before the relegation/promotion of new teams.

Retire your 'Holiday Man' manager.

Add a new manager, the options are up to you but 'past experience' must be set to the lowest possible which is 'Sunday league footballer'. I understand that choosing different nationalities may have an effect later on, but I trust people will be sensible with this. I would expect people to use their own true nationalities.

Now take over one of the 2 newly promoted clubs, from what i have seen after a few reloads they instantly start as managerless so checking the jobs pages should show you who these are. This may however not be the case so make sure that you check there previous years league position, if they are newly premoted there should be no previous position. As there is only 16 clubs in the league it is also pretty easy to check against the previous years league table.

If someone knows how and wants to post the reputations of potential promotion clubs that would be great.

It is now up to you to manage this club all the way to the Premier League title, African Champions League And Wordl Club Cup Glory

You may not move clubs unless you are sacked.

If you get sacked, you can either take over a newly promoted club that satisfies the original criteria (check the club's league history), or just start again.

Any form of international management is not allowed, until you have completed the challenge.

There are no restrictions on assigning feeder/parent clubs.

To sign a player, you must be able to scout them, this doesn't mean you have to, just he must be accessible to your scouts. If you have a foreign player on a free transfer who is willing to come on trial, you do not need to be able to scout them.

No external utilities such as FMScout should be used and the database should be unedited. Should SI release a data update, this would be allowed. It is advised that people should update using the latest patches as they are released.

Rules for this Thread

Player naming is allowed. (This is a warning for those of you who do not wish to see this)

Discussion on tactics is allowed. (This is another warning for those of you who do not wish to see this)

Screenshots for anything are encouraged.

When you join the challenge, could you post a screenshot of your manager's profile after you have taken over your new club (probs around 5th July)

Progress of your club should be documented using this thread, we want to hear the story of your club all the way through. Please keep us updated, even if you are doing really badly.

At the end of every season, could everyone post some kind of season review, including at least a screenshot of a league table and the clubs transfer page. If you give this a title in bold it makes it a bit easier to pick out.

ALl Ideas,Rules and even some of the Spiel are taken from defuge and gundo's original challange and all credit with the exception of the league chosen should be given to the aformentioned forum legends.

So who's going to make the Asian version?

South African Second Division club reps from the editor

There is a 'South African Lower Division' but I assume all clubs come from the second division.

It looks like the update day is on the 14th, so saving on the 13th would be best.

I probably won't play but its interesting to see what sort of clubs get promoted. I saw Alex Utd come up with 500 rep so it looks like any of those teams can be promoted.
