Shetland Islands vs Ross County Scottish Challenge Cup 2nd Round - 30.8.2006
Shetland pulled off a shock against 1st Division Ross County to progress into the 3rd round of the Challenge Cup.
The game started well for Shetland despite being underdogs, but things took a bad turn on 17 mins, when
Nelson came off injured, which was later revealed to be a bruised rib, which could rule him up for up to two weeks.
But depite another injury blow for Shetland, they took the lead on 23 mins.
Drewe was set clear through in the box from
Bamble's header on, and he unselfishly squared it to
O'Kelly who fired home from close range to make it 1-0.
Shetland doubled their lead on 37 minutes, with
Maradona fighting clear of the Ross County defenders, reaching the box, before rocketing the ball home in style just inside the box.

Ross County got a goal back just 8 minutes into the second half, from their LM's cross,
Chapman seemed to be asleep as their striker had the easy chance to head in from a few yards out.
Shetland finished off Ross on 77 mins, with
Howells, fresh back from injury, laying it back for
O'Kelly to put in his 2nd and Shetlands 3rd from 15 yards.

A great result, escpecially against a team two divisions above us. Hopefully this will lead us back to a win in the league at the weekend, against Orkney.
