Alloa vs Shetland Islands Scottish Challenge Cup 1st Round - 16th August 2006
Shetland kept up their 100% record in yet another cup, and finally with their nice new kits arriving, this time coming back from behind.
Alloa got off to a great side, after just 20 seconds, Hazeldine broke through to power the ball in past
Thomson, not the best start for us.
The lead didn't last long, and 2 minutes later, Shetland were level.
Majidinho's long throw in evaded all of the Alloa defenders, and
de Shetlandinho turned well and had an easy tap-in to make it 1-1.
On 9 minutes, Shetlands went ahead.
Al-Dahash's free-kick out wide was flicked into the net skillfully by
Bamble.
Shetland increased their lead on 19 minutes, good passing between
Nelson and
Drewe saw goal machine
Maradona through one-on-one, and he finished easily.

The second half was a bit of a non-event, no really chances to report on at all.
Another good deserved win for us. :thup: We're looking good at the back against bigger teams, though they did score their only shot on target, but we're creating enough chances ourselves and we're taking them.
My MoM is Salman Al-Dahash, who did well in the place of the injured McSocraincha, and even got himself an assist. I'll have a dilemma who to put on the left when McSocraincha is fit.
