Ross Lumsden was born in Dublin Ireland.
His father worked in the potato field, and his mother stayed at home looking after his 12 brothers, and sisters.
He got into trouble at school, mostly through boardum, but managed to get away with most things due to him being the schools star footballer.
They never had much money and he shared a bed with his brother until he was 14. Potatoes were the regular meal for most days and christmas presents were always shared.
The future didn't seem to look to bright for young Lumsden, and it seemed he was condemed to spending his life working on the potato farm with his dad and brothers, with the only think he could possibly look forward to was drinking lots of guiness and marrying the farmers daughter(he's a good looking lad

)
Then one day his luck changed. A scout from Blyth Spartans was holidaying in Ireland, and was touring the world famous potato farm which young Ross worked on over the weekend.
The scout noticed young Ross kicking a potato around and knew that the lad had talent.
He got in touch with Ross' parents and before he knew it he was off to the north east.
Ross was over the moon as he was a life long Newcastle fan, and he now had the chance to see them in the flesh, and possibly one day even find himself on the hallowed turf of st james' park himself
