I usually have the same idea of playing: pick a team at the bottom and make it a world champion. But last years I like to play with newport county, with an another restriction: I can only play with welsh players and youngsters from my team's school (most are welsh, but some are english) . Since this year newport is fighting for title, game losses a *bit* of its spirit, and also team starts with some english players (quite nice for my team).
The question is, should I wait to the official patch and then create a new team with welsh players and bring it to the top? I don't know if i can create a team with random welsh players and fit it in the BSS (or BSN) fairly, and maybe it's like *cheating*.
What do you think? I think that i would continue my game with newport, but I would be glad to read answers from so experimented people

I would try the dafuge challenge if I was you, (playing as Merthyr Tydfil), or maybe Gundo's challenge, (based in Wales), or the other thing you could od is try the SMSL "give youth a chance" challenge, but pick a Welsh team and do it from a Welsh point of view rather than English.
Hi again, i have decided to continue my game with newport, but since final patch is not out, I think I will start a new game when it becomes available. I will try a hard option:
-I will play with LLaMas rules.
-I will play only with welsh players (even if my starting team has non-welsh players)
-I will play with Merthyr Tydfil (thanks Jimbo), since is placed in wales and is feeder of Cardiff. This will make the game easier, so I can loan welsh players.
I won't follow dafuge's challenge, since I want welsh players, and I can add another countries because I can't sign any of those players. Of course I'll start with minimum experience, saving on 18th of june in order to wait for Merthyr Tydfil. Because Mertyr is the team with most reputation in Southern Premier, it will be easy to them to gain promotion.
Targets of my challenge:
-Of course, be the best team in the world.
-Feed Wales national team with my players.
-If possible, manage Wales in the future and do it as well as possible.
Rules:
-Only welsh players can play, signed, loans. Starting players and youngster non welsh can't play.
-All LLaMas rules (Search button is not allowed, I only can sign scouted players BUT I will accept and use my relation with Cardiff).

I started the challenge 3 days ago and I have found this problem:
1-Merthyr comes without staff.
Well, not a great problem. A bit nasty, but I can solve it putting an advertise in all areas of staff. The fact is that I need a welsh scout, in order to find some mature welsh players. Some of these would like to coach and scout, so I would have a nice welsh staff. After 5 months I have a 2nd manager and a couple of coaches. Of course, all welsh.
2-After 5 months, no welsh scout wants to work for me.
It's causing to trouble to me. I decided to sign a English scout anduse him ONLY to scout a mature welsh player, someone who wants to be a scout. Any welsh player after one month, so I hire another english scout. Nothing. No welsh player.
3-English scouts don't find welsh players.
Well, I'm kinda desperates, i SEARCH (I'm quite ashamed) for a welsh scout. Again, I scout for any welsh player. He also cannot scout in wales (in fact they can, but return with nothing after 2-3 days), and after 44 days he also does not find any welsh player in england.
4-I can't find welsh players.
Well, I have seen some welsh players. I have a couple in wales u19, and I scout some of their partners (I think it is allowed, since it is a public team),and I managed to loan some of them. Only 1 of them is really good, but he has won some matches for me. But it is all. I can't find mature players, and since I have a very young team (one player is 24, all the other players are maximum 18 years old) I cannot have welsh staff and good players.
Nevertheless I will try to play and success, feeded with my own youngsters and maybe some of the wales u19 and u21 (since I see them as public players who can be scout). Now I find the challenge much harder than I thought, but this encourage me even more. Would I be able to scout welsh players in the future, with a professional squad? we will see
July-august : Merthyr is just promoted to BSN. Has 1 player and some youngsters, quite promising, but no staff. I just put an advertise for staff, expecting some welsh coaches, and sign some of my grey players, to make a squad. Just 2 coaches and a crap second manager. At least, two of them are still players and I put one as my captain. Very bad preseason but it's ok. I'm just promoted but board expect a high-table position.
September-october: Results are being awful and not scouts yet. Youngsters are performing well but most of the grey players are crap...
November-december: I had to accept one of the english scouts appointments; the idea is that he can find some welsh mature players, and maybe one of them wants to be scout. In late december I had to hire a couple more to accelerate process. Also I had 2 players on wales u19, and my coaches scoutedsome of these youngsters. One of these players accepted a loan, and started decently.
january-march: English scouts did't find any welsh mature player, but at last 2 welsh scouts applied to my advertise! I had also a couple of physiotherapists, and new coach. nevertheless, not any coach with good fitness or goalkeeping train stats :/ on the other hand, my team is performing quite well, and the borrowed striker is playing better every week. Also I managed to borrow to more welsh players
april-may: I started month climbing to 5th position! so, I was in playoffs position unthinkable after 10 first games, when I was at the bottom. But suddenly my sta striker got injured for 3-4 weeks. Also my players fitness suffered due to lots of matches, and small teams now play better against me. Then in may I had little probabilities to achieve promotion but I struggled and only could finish 8th. My star striker got 30 goals in 23 games, being best player in the league and 2nd best striker.
Season 2 (2009/10)
July-august : Unluckily, no great youngsters came this year. Pre-season was mediocre again, and I still have not any good fitness coach (only 1*). I bought a couple of players, nothing special.
September-december: the team is performing well! I borrowed three players from the early beginning (unfortunately I couldn't borrow again that star striker), and I have a fast young striker that is scoring nicely! I was first in november, but ending december team is in a comfortable 2nd-3rd position.
January-june: team went quite regular, struggling a bit in march due to cup and league matches, but ending league in top form. team finished 3rd, so we achieved promotion!! My strikers were not scoring goals those last months, but midfields did.So I started promotion confident, at home. But I got shocked: I had 10(3) chances and my rival 4(3), and I lost 0-1. I was quite angry, but I had another match. Since I perform better against odds, I still had chances. So we started second match, but after 20 minutes I allowed another goal. I was desolated, but my fitness was better than my opponents. And then...
