Something that you might notice is that the Turks & Caicos Islands and Belize may get stronger in the future because of the regens. In about 2010, there seems to be a lot of decent regens from the British Overseas Territories, who have English as a second nationality.

Pressure is on the Backbone nations from the start

Crazy that none of the star players have been involved yet stupid managers.

Maybe their age of only 18 could be partly causing this?

It is still a bit odd considering despite their ages they should be far better than any other players in that country.

Well, I don't think they will start getting their senior caps until the end of the first season. Maybe one or two will if they perform exceptionally at club level, but unless that happens, they will be left in the junior squads for a while. I mean, the experience of the current Papua New Guinean squad is worth much more than the drool worthy talent of a few punk kids.

I fear those starting in Indonesia will be stuck there. No-one ever scouts there, so unless they get exposure with the national team, they'll suffer. Definitely players from the A-league and the Mexican league will be the first to move. I'm tipping it to begin during the 2nd season.
Hopefully they will perform in the Asian Champs league and get to move to larger asian clubs...

English as a second nationality.
Oh no,will they be scooped into the English team...

The Manager have not sent their scouts to add them to the National pool?

Questions looking to be answered from this experiment:

1. Does giving a useless international team 4 star players improve their fortunes?
The teams with the strikers will do better than the ones without the strikers. I don't see a huge improvement in any of them unless they get really good regens.

2. Do these teams rise up the world rankings and if so is it gradual or is it a sudden explosion up the rankings?
If any of them even win a game, they'll shoot up dramatically. I see them settling around the 50-60 mark.

3. Can any of the teams qualify for a World Cup?
Depends on the regens but unlikely. Maybe the Oceanian teams could.

4. Are the effects more pronounced in some confederations than in others?
Well, the only real challenge for the Oceania teams is New Zealand. Next easiest is Asia and then Africa. These three confederations will see the edited teams be near the top.

5. Do the nations provided with a 'backbone' produce better results and rise up the rankings quicker than the nations given 'wings'?
Definitely the backbones. The disparagy between good GKs and bad GKs is huge in this game. Also, the backbones have perfect strikers so they should score a lot and concede very little. We all know about supergoalies!

6. Looking at the players - will the players at clubs in remote backwaters take longer to end up in the world's best leagues or will they all move after 1 season at their starter club.?
I actually see some of the ones in Indonesia retiring.

7. Thinking more longer term, will these nations produce some better quality regens as they move up the FIFA rankings or will these nations slump again after these star players retire[/quote]
I don't know how the regen system works, so I don't know. Obviously, their performance will go down once they no longer have a perfect player...

This is a fun concept, kutgw!

I'm thinking there haven't been many call ups due to a low reputation.

Also WW have you put them at clubs or are they all free-agents?
