Alaves, Cadiz and Celta are the three teams to try their luck in the first division, as all 4 top 'b' teams are in the first division it will be intresting to see how the end of the season pans out

With four of the teams relegated, two teams have changed league, Villareal have gone to Division B3 and Recreativo have been moved to B4. I guess this is due to regionalisation

Spain keep the Same coefficients, however only 1 team are playing in ECC and one team in the EC. These are both the holders

Transfer Value seems to have decresed.

'Big' Transfers for January 2009:

Palacio Barce to RMadrid 5.25m
Marquez Barca to Milan 3.8m
Navarro Mallorca to Betis 3.8m
Alonso Valencia to RMadrid 3.4m
Edu Betis to Udinese 1.3m
Marchena Valencia to Sevilla 1.1m

I have also noticed Barcelona B's attendances have increased to around 11,000 from 7,000 and Villareals have decreased to around 13,000 from 18,000. The other attendances are roughly the same

Final Standings, this is interesting. I thought Sevilla might come up as thier A Team were in the bottom 4 for most of the season. However, they survived

First Division:

BBVA:

Division B:

No Suprises. However, I am intrested in what would happen if Villareal got promoted as their 'B' team were relegated

Villareal
AMadrid
Betis
Zaragoza won the play offs.

Heres the leagues pre season. Some intresting results.

First:

BBVA:

B1:

B2:

B3:

B4:

As we can see, the First Division, BBVA and B4 are all prone to match fixing.

Almeria, Valladolid and Racing are all back on the league structure
