Jose Mourinho, the special one? he will have to be... (AI Experiment)
I wanted to see whether AI managers make a big difference in Football Manager 2008 so i thought which team is one of the worst in the footballing England, and i choose Hampton and Richmond of the Blue Square South (Rep 800)
Then it got me thinking, which manager is unemployed and world class and then one name popped into my head ..... Jose Mourinho!
Background info
I edited the database to put Jose Mourinho as Hampton and Richmond manager and started a game with England (Blue Square south/north and above)
Italy and spain top two divisions on small database, i didnt load any other nations. I added Mr Holiday Man and will be watching Mourinhos every move, Hampton and Richmond are predicted to come bottom by the way
Questions
1. Will Mourinho get another job offer and this be a pointless experiment?
2. Will he guide the team to Relegation, mid table or promotion challengers?
3. Will he stay after the first season or move to bigger things?
4. Is he really that special?
5. Will his arrogance get everyone in the Blue Square South annoyed?
6. Can he guide Hampton and Richmond to champions league glory?
7. Will his brilliant contacts get him some special talent?
Hopefully all will be revealed! please let me know what you think of this experiment and i will be updating probably every couple of ingame months on how Hampton and Richmond are going! (In an event of mourinho leaving straight away, i may put his loyalty to 20, as it is 15 at the moment)

hey
sorry about the wait but havent been able to play for last couple of days because of different reasons, but have free day so hopefully will get through season or two! October 1st 2007 update
League table
well this is a real turn up, mourinho has made a convincing start to the season surprisingly and he sees his team sit 4th in league! 4th in league Results
so some really good results place them 4th and a cup win against carshalton gives them a 3 match winning streak! Results Cup comps
As i said that 3-1 win against carshalton sees his into the 3rd round of qualifying for the fa cup, setanta shield 1st round is soon against sutton united! Transfer dealings
Only two dealings, a decent utility man who can play anywhere really, he has 4 in 11, and a man who is yet to make a league debut Morinho transfers
and the pick of the two: Frank Gibbons
Overall
Mourinho looks pretty content with life, mayybe a good string of results could see them top the table, if anyone wants some different screenshots, feel free to ask, thanks for patience

League Table
Another brilliant improvement, if December was better they would definatley be top! 2nd in league Results
What a result last match, away at top and a 4-1 win, 4 up after 40 mins! []Results havent been great lately though Cups
Hvent been brill but 4th round in setanta shield is a good effort, only losing 3-2 to northwich! Transfers
Frank Gibbons: Played 28 (21 in league) scored 8 (7 in league) AVG Rating 6.21 (6.24 in league)
Mick O'Brien: Played 14 (8 in league) Scored 2 (Both in league) AVG rating 6.21 (6.38 in league) Overall
Mourinho is doing brilliantly, but with R.Madrid and Barcelona jobs under pressure mourinho could be off to spain, also Liverpool are 16th and getting impatient with Rafa, hopefully the thoughts of the Blue Square Premier can keep him happy! and once again, any request for differnt screen shots will be welcomed!

League table
an incredible end of season bit of luck claimed mourinho a play off spot finnishing up in 4th!
First leg against lewes didnt go to plan, going 1 down early on, but lady luck struck, 1 minute after losing the goal, lewes had a man sent off!
Hampton seised there chance and equalised before the break, they looked ever likely to get the winner but couldnt force the ball in so that how it ended and they will go to lewes 1-1 and definate underdogs
Incredibley they went 1-0 up stariaght away and doubled there lead before the break!
on 60 disaster struck and lewes got 1 back, mourinho played brilliant defensive tactics and held on to take hampton to a famous playoff final!
They entered the final as underdogs but conceded early!
then a wonderful brace by the star stricker before the break sent them in 2-1 up!
Again they defended and invited pressure, they looked good on the counter but couldnt find the killer goal
they held out and won promotion, Mourinho produces something special! Promotion
Results
these are there late results, the key ones are the 2nd and 3rd last, both 1-0 wins against play-off contenders Decent results
Overall a brilliant season and hopefully Mourinho will stay at the club for there season in the Blue Square Premier!
