Default cropping

Whenever I try to use the Crop Tool, it only stretches out to a small portion of the image and refuses to stretch down any farther. Help?

Sounds like you have the aspect ratio fixed.
Clear the numbers out of the boxes and/or look for suspicious checkboxes in the option bar.
Not sure, but I think that there is a button like Clear Front or something like that.
