All wages are based on a weekly basis. Bank balance and wage increase figures stated are rounded. Results are compared to 1st September. Quick Summary: Most clubs continue to provide good financial results. Most are keeping within budgets and are making a profit and seeing higher funds into bank accounts. Everton and Sunderland are doing particularly well. Villa, Newcastle and Man City all recorded a loss. Villa, Bolton and Derby are still over their wage budgets. Derby, Fulham and Reading were relegated so will need to keep tight control over their finances. Overview Arsenal Finished the league in 2nd place. Their bank balance recovered well to £75m in the last sector and finishing with slightly high figure than the start of the year. Wages finish on £865,590 around £160,000 higher than the start of the season. Wages are currently £19,800 under budget and considering their high profit of £33m this year and champions league football next year they seem to be in a sound financial position. Aston Villa Finished 11th in the league. Their bank balance was £13m lower than the start of the season. Wages finished on £557,279 which is around £130,000 higher than the start of the season. Wages are currently over budget by £5,873 and considering their loss of £8m they will need to perform better on the pitch to continue at current levels of spending. Birmingham Finished 17th in the league. Their bank balance finished on £16m a great season for them. Wages finished on £289,278 which was £3,000 lower than the start of the season and £13,140 under budget. Impressive profit of £15m, premiership football next year, and under wage budget means a great season for them. Blackburn Finished 13th in the league. Their bank balance finished on £20m 5 times higher than the start of the season. Wages finished on £411,034 which was roughly the same as the start of the season and currently £61,409 under the wage budget. Impressive results for Blackburn of £22m profit. Bolton Finished 15th in the league. Their bank balance finished on £17m, 3 times has high on the start of the season. Wages finished £437,094 which was around £9,000 higher than the start of the season and £19,418 over budget. Impressive profit of £25m means the overspend on wages should be fine. ChelseaFinished 4th in the league. Their bank balance finished £101m, £9m up on the start of the season. Wages finished on £1,513,062 which is around £20,000 higher than the start of the season and £263,693 under budget. £27m profit for the year plus champions league football will mean Chelsea can be pleased. Derby Finished 20th in the league. Their bank balance finished on £10m impressive considering it only started on £1m. Wages finished on £258,299 £30,000 higher than the start of the season and £40,320 over budget. £15m profit for the year but relegation and current over spending could see Derby in trouble if they do not get a quick return to the prem. Everton Finished 6th in the league. Their bank balance more than doubled to £34m. Wages finished on £497,035 managing to cut £80,000 from the wage bill putting themselves £147,979 under budget. Profit of £21m, Europe and a lot of money to spare on wages put Everton in a very strong position. Fulham Finished 19th in the league. Their bank balance rose from a negative to £4m. Wages finished on £402,294 cutting £8,000 and putting themselves £7,433 under budget. Profit of £6m is good but relegation and a high wage bill for the Championship will mean Fulham need to cut costs. Liverpool Finished as champions. However success came at a small cost seeing their bank balance decline to £25m. Wages finished on £1,246,807 adding £100,000 to the start of the season but still £104,449 under budget. Profit of £5m plus silverware means Liverpool should be very happy. Man City Finished 12th in the league. Their bank balance however declined to £22m. Wages finished £663,031 adding £110,000 to the cost to the start of the season but still £71,211 under budget. A loss of £9m and a bank balance in decline mean Man City need to watch their spending more. Man Utd Finished 3rd in the league. Their bank balance showed improvement to £18m, good considering they went into negatives. Wages finished on £1,126,354 around £40,000 higher than the start of the season but £76,379 under budget. Man U recorded impressive profit of £59m and should be fine as long as champions league football continues. Middlesbrough Finished 13th in the league. Their bank balance increased well to £18m. Wages finished on £491,647 around the same as the start of the season and £46,460 under budget. Profits of £15m and a place in Europe mean Middlesbrough should be looking to improve next season. Newcastle Finished in 5th. Their bank balance decreased hugely to £13m. Wages finished on £994,091 a massive £150,000 added to it but still £63,438 under budget. A loss of £10m, loss in funds and higher wages show a team that pushed out the boat to get a champions league place but missed it. Must look to get funds back in place or get champions league to continue soundly. Portsmouth Finished in 6th. Their bank balance decreased slightly to £43m. Wages finished on £646,145 a £95,000 increase but £66,972 under budget. A loss of £14m is worrying but can be cut by better spending in the transfer market. A EURO Vase place. Reading Finished in 18th.Their bank balance increased to £17m Wages finished on £404,978 increasing around £60,000 but still £24,055 under budget. Profit of £11m but may need to cut wages to be stable in the championship. Sunderland Finished in 9th. Their bank balance quadrupled to £37m.Wages finished on £235,515 increasing by £13,000 and £14,382 under budget. Profit of £39m and still in the prem means Sunderland can increase spending nicely. Tottenham Finished in 10th. Their bank balance rose well to £16m. Wages finished on £641,850 increasing by £20,000 and £67,964 under budget. Profit of £21m means Tottenham can spend more to get the results they want. West Ham Finished in 7th. Their bank balance decreased slightly to £10m. Wages finished on £750,294 increasing by about £30,000 and £92,640 under budget. Profit of £3m means West Ham should be careful about increasing wages much more so they continue to be profitable. Wigan Finished in 16th. Their bank balance rose to £20m. Wages finished on £318,987 increasing by about £60,000 and £5,876 under budget. Profit of £16m means Wigan look good at the moment.
