I don't know how often an update should be given, however I'm at the end of September in season one and thanks indeed to NepentheZ recommendations earlier in the thread, I'm not doing at all bad, so would like to post some screenies of where FC Cheadle Heath are right now.

Basically I'm starting to enjoy FM08 properly for the first time. This is in no small part down to taking on this challenge and reading through many posts in the forums, which is re-addressing pre-conceived ideas I had had about tactics and player abilities, that I've held on to for the last few versions of FM. I am seeing things differently know and enjoying the game more because of it.

Nice position in the table, maybe a push for promotion in the first season.! would be nice to see.

And yea, i've been enjoying FM08 with Real London too, i've put a lot of effort into making tactics, and picking the right team etc instead of just ploughing through the seasons.!

The season starts -

After a 6-0 Hammering in the first friendly of the season (to a team I would expect to dick all over) it looked to be a very very long and hard season.
However, next match, the boys pulled out a miraculous 4-0 win over a team from the conference north..Maybe my team wasn't so bad?
This sudden surge of confidence was about to get a huge battering with a run of 4 games without a win.
One win in pre-season was truely awful...But I proceeded to the first match of the season - confidence at an all time low.

To my shock and amazement Henleaze Rovers equalled their opponents (Bromley) and snuck a win in the closing stages!
After one match I was in 3rd...Could I have turned this around?
The answer was a resounding NO.
I now lie 2 from bottom with 5 matches gone. Appaling..
Can I atleast earn a respectable position at the end of the year? I doubt it.

How have you got your estimated value to be £275k? Mine is only £110k after the end of 12 league games played. Does estimated value increase the older the club is, as well as other factors such as profit/loss and players/staff?

Migwar - that certainly is weird. When editing the city your club was in do you remember it's 'desirability rating' or something like that?
Bristol got 14.
Although in my eyes, Bath is certainly a nicer place than Bristol
