Apollo Farstriker, Apollo to his friends, grew up in San Salvador. The Captial of El Salvador. His family were poor and his father ran with a local gang who had offered protection to his young family. Apollo's family never sent him to school and he got his education on the streets. He spent most of his youth kickng a ball about with his brothers. He had shown great potential but he had never dreamed of what he could achieve. He had always assumed he would end up in a gang like his father and probably dead before he was 30.
It was not until Apollos father and younger brother were killed in a raid by a rival gang that his mother decided they had to get out of El Salvador. They left a week after the funeral, headed for mexico. Apollo was just 13.
They never made it to Mexico but did encounter an English business man on the way. He had found them walking down a main road and offered them a lift. They got talking and he paid for them to stay at his hotel. He was on the way to the airport to fly home to England. in the week they spent together the Englishman grew fond of Apollo's mother and he offered to take them to England to work for him. Due to passport problems they couldnt travel straight away but 3 months later they touched down Manchester Airport and were driven to Chester where the man lived. His Mother was to be the buisiness mans personal assistant. Apollo was just short of his 14th birthday and because he could only speak Spanish the man hired a home tutor. Apollo never shown much interest in most subjects but found he had a knack for languages. He could already speak basic English. He had also been playing football for a Sunday League side called Hopefarm Hotspurs in Ellesmere Port and had been attractng attention from some scouts. By the time he was 14 he was speaking fluent English and had signed for minnows Vauxhall Motors who play their football in the Blue Square North and are based in Ellesmere Port. His Mother is due to be wed to Daniel the Businessman next year.
Young Apoorv somehow found himself on a plane to Milan with his tryouts with the Milan Primavera team looming the next day. His excitement was overshadowed by his nerves, so the guy next to him heard much knocking of knees which he bizarrely attributed to a stowaway woodpecker. At the tryouts Apoorv failed to impress but was sent to Novairoma (sp?) by the friendly Marcel Desailly. He was gladly snapped up by the newly promoted side. His future beckons.
Ben was a young lad, who after completing his degree at the London School of Economics, decided to stay on in England instead of returning to his native Singapore. His short term goal was to find a stable job, but his long term goal was to be a professional footballer.
However, the only job he could find was as a spray painter with Vauxhall Motors at their factory in Ellsmere Port. The pay was crap, the hours were long and the paint was hazardous to his health. However, Vauxhall had a football team, and Ben naturally decided to try out.
Before long he had a place in the first team. Could this be his stepping stone to his ultimate dream, playing for his beloved Arsenal? Or will he be consigned to a lifetime of spray painting and non-league football?
Born a stones throw from the Italian border, Bonnitto Di Punto grew up idolising Paolo Maldini and supported AC Milan. Every year he and his dad would make their annual trip to Milan to watch their beloved AC Milan play at the San Siro. From the moment the youngster first kicked a ball, he grew up dreaming about playing inside this famous stadium and playing alongside legends of the game.
A prodigious youngster, he was very close to his family and when the youngster started to show potential, he promised his grandad that he would not jump ship if good enough to play international football and play for Italy. Di Punto was immensly proud of his San Marinese heritage and for him, being the star of the team and trying to help his side improve their fortunes at an international level. Playing for his local club San Marino, its surely not long before this local legend is picked up by a big club.
Born in a little known town in Norway, Van Cook hit the headlines when it transpired that his mother had requested a DNA test to determine fatherhood. It was a national calamity when it was proved that he was the illegitimate son of former hero, Ole Gunner Solskjaer!
He was forced into exile at an early age and sort solitude in San Marino.
It was whilst at school that his father's footballing talents began to become apparent. He was soon drafted into the San Marino club and hit the headlines once more with his prodigous finishing. Forming a great striking partnership with Di Punto, the future and destiny of the club firmly lies in these guys hands!
Jason Ghoe won a trip to Spain and while walking past the streets,he saw an ad for trials for Jaen.He decided to try.Had to buy the attire but its was priceless as he got in.Now he can focus on making himself famous...
Lawrence was born in Poland and just wanted to get away. He loved his country but he wanted to see what else was out there. After realizing he had a natural gift at the game of soccer he knew that this would be his ticket out of there. He was always one of the fastest players on whatever team he was playing on and he had a knack for putting the ball right where it needed to be. He never played on the same team two years in a row but was always able to adapt to the new situation and played well with just about anyone. His favorite player is Lukas Podolski because he is Polish even though he plays for Germany. He believes his game is modeled around Aaron Lennon because of his pace and how he is able to just outrun anyone who comes up against him. His dream is to help his country win the World Cup and to play for Tottenham Hotspurs and bring them to Premier League and European glory. Right now he is content to improve his game and become worthy of representing club and country in all competitions.
Nick was a quiet boy who grew up in a suburb of Ottawa. He performed well enough in school, but his real love was football, or soccer as he knew it then. His English dad originally got him into it, and from that first game he played in, he was hooked. When he was ten, Nick's family moved to Suffolk in England. He quickly joined a sunday league team called StowFalcons. Nick started off playing in midfield, but he seemed to lack a certain quality. An injury to a team mate at the start of the U12 season saw Nick play at left back, and that was when he started to play really well. He then moved to centre back and excelled, but was not noticed by any scouts
Now obviously he doesn't play there anymore, and this is why. Whe nhe was 16, he started playing for a men's team, at right back. Whe na striker injury crisis hit the reserves, he was used as an emergency striker where he bagged several goals. He moved to the first team and kept up his emphatic scoring. Picked up by AFC Sudbury, Nick continued to shine in the Ryman First Division, when he was spotted by St. Albans in a pre-season friendly to the 07/08 season, and here we are now...
Ross Lumsden was born in Dublin Ireland. His father worked in the potato field, and his mother stayed at home looking after his 12 brothers, and sisters. He got into trouble at school, mostly through boardum, but managed to get away with most things due to him being the schools star footballer.
They never had much money and he shared a bed with his brother until he was 14. Potatoes were the regular meal for most days and christmas presents were always shared.
The future didn't seem to look to bright for young Lumsden, and it seemed he was condemed to spending his life working on the potato farm with his dad and brothers, with the only think he could possibly look forward to was drinking lots of guiness and marrying the farmers daughter(he's a good looking lad. Then one day his luck changed. A scout from Blyth Spartans was holidaying in Ireland, and was touring the world famous potato farm which young Ross worked on over the weekend.
The scout noticed young Ross kicking a potato around and knew that the lad had talent. He got in touch with Ross' parents and before he knew it he was off to the north east. Ross was over the moon as he was a life long Newcastle fan, and he now had the chance to see them in the flesh, and possibly one day even find himself on the hallowed turf of st james' park himself
Rycardo Andolitonio was born in Limon around the time of the country's first ever World Cup appearance. Young Ryan's father thrust a soccer ball into his boy's crib immediately after their victory over Scotland. Ryan liked soccer enough, but his first passion was surfing. He surfed a bit around Limon but loved get over to the fabled Pacific coast. All this surfing built up his leg strength so much, that he became a natural striker. One day, during a pick-up game on the beach, recently terminated Darlington manager David Hodgson stumbled onto the game while vacationing. After seeing his amazing striking skills, Hodgson promised him that as soon as he got another job, he would sign him immediately. In the meantime, Ryan started working out for the Saprissa youth team, in an effort to pick up some cash to be put towards surfing accessories. When Hodgson got hired on as the new Boston manager, he remained true to his word and purchased Ryan off of the Saprissa team for a dozen new soccer balls, and a hot dog vendor to be named later. Now Ryan is set to lead Boston on the slow march back to respectability.
Samuel Purlin, was born on the main isle of the Cape Verde Islands, and grew up in Praia. His Australian father was a heavy advocate of football through out Samuel's early years (being a failed Sunday-league player himself), and so it became part of Samuel's life too. The recent creation of the A-league inspired Samuel's father to push his son's career, as he knew Cape Verde weren't the most football oriented nation. He impulsively decided that Samuel's best hope was in the French leagues, and to their surprise, the coaches thought he had potential, despite his young age. Can Samuel achieve what his father dreamed?
Born from a Spanish father and a Turkish mother, Sercan grew up in the dusty streets of Istanbul. All those football love in the city effected him much and he started spending nearly every free time he has to play more. You ccan talk to him about football for hours. Football was like his only love, at least at this age. In all his conversations about football, he always mentions 2 names repeatedly. Yildiray Bastürk and Ruban Baraja. He was fond of Yildiray Basturk for his technical capabilities and Ruben Baraja for his fighting nature. As a young lad, he was considered to be the most creative player amongst his age group. He always felt himself more of a Turk than of a Spaniard but he was almost sure that if he was to play football at a professional level he has to go to Spain for the extended facilities and the chance to play in higher reputed clubs.
Thomas Okenzey always was under pressure to perform. He came from a rich Ghanaian family, who always had ties with the national sports teams. His brother- a 100m sprinter, one of the top 30 in the world, his sister- a champion WNBA (Women's Basketball) player in the USA. His father was a regurlar in the Ghanaian football team about 20 years ago. Now, it is his turn to shine.
Can he go all the way to his dream club, Real Madrid... Or will he stay in his siblings' shadow, failing at Eastbourne?
Well...That was a marathon effort for the first upodate. Now thats over it should be a lot easier for updates.
The updates im planning are at the beggining of the season (26.8.07 is the start of the French CFA and the Italian C2 which are the last leagues to start so this will be the next update) and another one at the end of the last season to finish.
You will notice on the screenshots there were a few irregularities in the database. I had miscalcualted two ages, resulting in one player being 13 but he turned 1 at the end of july and one having just turned 15. These were the only two real problems so i let them pass as they dont effect the game too much. Another problem was that Mike Bird was at Castilla, I was unaware that Castilla was in effect Real MAdrid B otherwise i wouldnt have allowed this. Due to it being my oversight i have allowed it to stick.
Anyway i was talking about updates...
Well the updates will include...
A screenshot of each player
Any Injury Infomation
Any Transfer Infomation
A History of Clubs, Matches, Goals and competitions won. Including International.
If you would like to see anything else included please let me know and ill see what i can do.
Simon Woods, a.k.a. Woodsy, hailed from the back streets of Perth, Australia. Cast out onto the streets by his parents as a youngster, Woodsy endured a tough childhood - eating and drinking only what he could find on the streets he soon developed an unhealthy obsession for eucalyptus leaves and Fosters.
At the age of 5 and with an already alarming drink problem, he was eventually rescued by the Australian Authorities and was brought up in an orphanage. However, due to an unfortunate typing error his name would be forever known as Simon Wood depite numerous attempts to get it changed - this greatly annoyed Woodsy and he vowed that one day the world would know him as the one and only Simon Woods.
After being take into care, Woodsy soon ditched the drink problem and found a new passion in life - football. As a youngster he was soon noticed for his prodigous passing and flair, eventually being recruited by Perth Glory - he especially enjoyed wearing their rather fetching purple and orange home kit!
As he got older however it became apparent that he would never realise his dream of playing for his boyhood heroes Preston North End and one day leading them to glory by staying in Australia. Pursuing his hopes and dreams he made an all or nothing move to England at the age of just 14 where he soon signed for lowly Southport.
Here is where we now join him, at the start of his adventure....can he emulate legendary Socceroos Tim Cahill, Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell and make it to the dizzying heights of the Premiership? And will he make the Australian Authorities and FIFA rue the day they mistyped his name, forever condemning him to be known as Simon Wood?!

is it possible that players learn new favourite moves?
yeah, you learn new prefered moves from players who tutor you, if you move to a big club at a young age and are tutored by a player with a preferred move then you may learn that move off him
Woodsy18 Ive just noticed my error with your name ha. He does however have Woods in the game. I actually know a lad whos name was spelt wrong on his birth certificate so his surname is different to the rest of his family.
