In a random glitch, all the teams that finished in the bottom two of every group, not the ones that finished in the top 2, qualified for the European Championships. I do not know why this happened but I let it play through and Montenegro ended up winning.
The Olympic Groups were drawn, and we were drawn in Group A alongside France, Germany, and Mexico, so we have some work ahead of us if we want to be the Gold Medalists in Beijing.
In the July World Rankings Pakistan moved up 29 places to 74 in the world. Argentina are still number 1, as expected, because none of the top teams played in Euro 2008, and Montenegro, as a result of their win in the Champs, was the most improved nation, moving from 205 to 88, a 117 position improvement.
I have been asked to submit numbers for the Olympic Games, and I am going to leave the numbers open for what you guys would like to have as your numbers. So here is the list.
