Rangers get domestic treble

Rangers celebrated a domestic treble and a tremendous turn around in affairs. Rangers dominated but Hearts battled well to produce an unlikely score of 3-3. Extra time passed and it was off to penalties, Hearts missed their first 3 pens and Rangers scored theirs, Mutu scoring the winner, to seal their 3rd domestic trophey of the season.

History repeats itself

Rangers went on to lift the Champions League trophey for the second year in a row, proving there is no end to the things they can achieve in their current state. Rangers seem to be pushing to be one of the worlds best clubs, and not just one of the best known clubs. Looking to rid themselves of the title "Scottish Giants" and looking for something along the lines of "European Giants" they took a healthy 2 goal lead early on in Belgrade against FC Bayern, Dado Prso with his 40th and 41st goals of the season. Roque Santa Cruz rounded off a superb move to make it 2-1 but seconds before halftime Valeri Bojinov scored to make it 3-1 and only Abiatti and Gordon allowed it to remain the same, Gordon the busier of the two keepers.

Rangers got off to the best possible start at home to Falkirk with new signings Fred(Free) and Freddy Adu(Free) taking their starting places for the first time in a competitive match. Rangers won 10-0 at Ibrox with a 4 goal haul from Valeri Bojinov, 2 from Fred, 2 from Mutu and a single each for Cicero(now capped 3 times for Brazil) and Freddy Adu. Falkirk are still suprisingly through to the group stages of the Champions League beating Parma. Rangers followed that crushing blow with a 2-0 away win over Dundee, Fred and Mutu on target. Hibs were dead and buried early on at Ibrox as they visited a week later going down 2-0 after 28mins to Chris Browns strike and Valeri Bojinov. Brown scored twice again in the 5-2 thrashing of Aberdeen, Morten Gamst Pedersen and Bojinov both on target in that match for the Gers. The next match was the Super Cup final, The only available Trophey which McKissock hasn't won in his Rangers career. Rangers faced Ajax and were 2-0 down at halftime but a goal from Mutu and a 89th minute equaliser from Fred made it 2-2 and the match went to penalties after goaless extra time. Rangers came out victors 4-2, with Maduro and Schaap missing for Ajax. The final game of the month was the 1-1 home draw with Partick, Rangers didnt play well as the score reflects.

Scotland, now 11th in the world, had a good month drawing 2-2 with Portugal and beating Poland at Home 5-1. It was a fantastic match against Portugal with both sides having the lead at one stage. Scotland only have 2 games left, Malta at home and Norway away, win those two and they qualify top of their group.
