26/4/08 Hearts no match for unbeaten Gers

Goals - Farnerud(pen)
Injuries
MoM - Morten Gamst Pedersen(8) - Rangers

30/4/08 Celtic fight back to finally beat the Gers
After 11 games unbeaten against Celtic and 46 unbeaten league games Rangers were finally beaten by a Paul Caddis goal in the 92nd minute. Rangers were 2-0 ahead after 30mins but manager Andrew McKissock was full of praise for Celtic as Rangers lost, he said that he went for broke when Celtic leveled at 2-2 and Celtic played well defending and managing to get the 3rd goal, showing great character to come back from 2-0 down when they could so easily have crumbled like previous games. Rangers 2-3 Celtic - Ibrox
Goals - Prso(2)
Injuries
MoM - Didier Agathe(9) - Celtic

14/5/08 McKissock does it again
Rangers have come along way in three years since the days of the overpaid under-achievers of the Alex McLeish reign. Since then they have won 9 tropheys and have participated in a Euro Super Cup final. They have attracted players to the club such as Adrian Mutu and Valeri Bojinov and these players have inspired them to a Champions League victory. Despite the set back of an Olof Mellberg own goal Rangers managed to turn it around with two goals in the five minutes following the own goal. Dado Prso, who else?, scored the equaliser and midfield Starlet Freddy Guarin got the winner in the 32nd minute. If it wasnt for both goalkeepers, especially Buffon, the score could have been a lot higher. Juventus 1-2 Rangers - Olimpico
Goals - Prso, Guarin
Injuries - Barry Ferguson, Cicero - Rangers
MoM - Billy Jones(9) - Rangers

Rep Power: 0 | Manager McKissock finally puts speculation to an end
Rangers manager Andrew McKissock signed a 4 year deal at Ibrox stadium ruling out any chance of a move to another club. The Rangers fans new hero who has won them 9 tropheys in 3 seasons had rejected a previous deal from Rangers but was ready to sign this time, the new contract more than doubles his wages from 15k to 35k p/w. Rangers have announced a big transfer budget of 17m and a wage budget of 625k.

I am going to try a different method of writing this out to try and get through seasons quicker and make it more exiciting in some way, as it cant be the most exciting thing to read match report after match report especially when there are so many wins.

An very active month for Rangers in the transfer market saw them sell 5 players of their champions league winning squad. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Alexander Farnerud, Barry Ferguson , Thomas Sivok and Thomas Buffel all moving to Spain and proving that despite the now "worldwide" brand name of Rangers the SPL is still not quite up to the standards of top world football. However some players seem to jump at the chance to join Rangers with able replacements signing up, Mark Noble(20 years old 3 caps for England, Sergio Ramos(22 year old 3 caps for Spain), Chris Brown(England u21 internationalist, 3 caps 1 goal) and Deigo Menendez who was on loan at Juventus last season.
The season kicked off in the best way possible for Rangers, Dado Prso scored a hat-trick and got Man of the Match as Jason Crooks scored his first league goal for the club in the 4-1 drubbing of Aberdeen |

A poor month by Rangers standards, they failed to use the Aberdeen match as a platform, losing 2-1 to Motherwell and coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Hearts. An Adrian Mutu inspired performance against Dundee Utd got Rangers back on track winning 4-2 at Tannidice. Then came the Super Cup which was lost for the second year in a row. 4-3 the score against Arsenal. 4 days later it was back to Ibrox to face Falkirk a comfortable 3-1 win with Mark Noble putting in a good shift. Rangers are second in the league 3 points behind rivals Celtic.
