Rangers fail to take chances

Rangers had some great chances against Celtic only two days after their champions League tie with Real Madrid and only one day after Celtics Benfica match. Rangers had the best of all the chances but Craig Gordon made a fantastic triple save late on, denying Blackstock, Clarkson and Millar.

McKissock rejects Both Man Utd and Rangers

Andrew McKissock has turned down the Man Utd job and turned down a new deal at Rangers, the Rangers manager felt the pay rise was not significant enough and felt that both clubs needed to invest more in either their stadiums or their youth.

Rangers crush Real Madrid with Gordon on top form

Rangers remain unbeaten in six games against the Spanish giants Real Madrid, winning 4-1 at the Bernabeu. Rangers went 1 ahead through Farnerud early on. Real Madrid had 3 good chances but were denied by great Goalkeeping by Gordon and then Guarin hit them with a sucker punch. Prso came on for Pedersen who picked up a knock and had an instant effect heading past Casillas making it 3-0. Real through the kitchen sink at the Scottish champions for the last 20mins but only Mascherno got a goal back. Ian Murray added a fourth late on easing the pain of his early booking which rules him out of the semi-final first leg.

4 in a row for Gers

Rangers secured their 4th consecutive SPL title, their 3rd under manager Andrew McKissock. They beat Falkirk 2-0 at Ibrox, Ross McCormack and Valeri Bojinov, on his return from injury, scored the goals as Morten Gamst Pedersen continued his good form with Man of the Match award number 7.

Gers cruise to Cup final

In a similar fashion to last years cup final between Rangers and Celtic Rangers scored five times, in the semi-final. Celtic were 5-1 down at one stage until Nakamura and Severin managed to add a little bit more respect to the scoreline. Adrian Mutu was on fine form netting a superb hat-trick and getting Man of the Match.

10-men Rangers lose out at home

Rangers lost at home to Inter, their first home defeat of the season. Martins was the scorer of the only goal in a deserved win for Inter. Morten Gamst Pedersen was red carded, shown two yellows and will be unavailable for the second leg. This leaves Rangers in a similar position to before with Real Madrid, they have to at least score once at the Guiseppe Meazza.

Rangers cruise past Livi

Thomas Buffel was on top form against 3rd place livi at Ibrox as Rangers bounced back from European defeat. Buffel scored twice looking sharp as ever in the attacking midfield role.

Rangers crush Inter to reach first ever Champions league final

The 23rd of April will go down in the Rangers history books as one of the best days in the clubs history. Rangers smashed Inter Milan at the Guiseppe Meazza 5-1 to reach their first ever Champions League final. Adrian Mutu came back to haunt one of his old clubs putting in a Man of the Match performance despite not scoring. Dado Prso was again on inspiring form scoring twice.
