Rangers retain Premierleague

Rangers retained their SPL Crown in the best possible way, infront of a record attendance of 58434 against Celtic at home. The fans were jubilant as they pulled off an emphatic 5-0 win to cap off a superb week for Rangers Football Club. Their advancement to the UEFA Cup final just 3 days earlier had the fans jumping for joy but it doesnt get much better than this. Manager Andrew McKissock spoke of his pride at doing so well at Rangers and how he was sure to be there next season as he wants to build and develop an under 19's side capable of taking over from the likes of Prso and Mutu.

Brown on form as Gers cruise past Dons

Rangers defeated Aberdeen 4-0 at Pittodrie with Scott Brown the pick of the bunch. Brown was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding performance. Peter Lovenkrands and Angelos Basinas played perhaps their last games in Rangers shirts and played well. Basinas is set to move to Blackburn in a 100k deal while Lovenkrands will leave on a free at the end of the season, Rangers were rumoured to be interested in keeping him but his wages were far too high.

Rangers win in first UEFA Cup final

Rangers weathered an early storm from Sampdoria and managed to come out on top. Pierre Alain-Frau hit Sampdoria with a sucker punch and he was involved again as Zangari conceeded an own goal. Rangers were down to 10-men with 15mins to go as Ian Murray was sent off for commiting a foul as the last man on the edge of the box, but it saved conceeding and so Rangers went to a defending mentality from then on and strolled through. A fantastic Euro campaign comes to an end for Rangers with their first UEFA Cup.

Rangers celebrate quadruple

Rangers fans were celebrating a fantastic four trophey haul as they beat Celtic 5-4 at Hampden. The scoreline was flattering to Celtic and only through 3 terrible mistakes by Olof Mellberg were they allowed to score 3 times late on it really should have been 5-1. Rangers dominated from start to finish and none other than Dado Prso netted a hat-trick to further anger the Celtic fans.

Rangers win in season opener

A double from Prso sealed the win for Rangers as they dominated, none of the new signings started for The Gers but Subs Huntelaar and Jones came on with Huntelaar scoring.

McKissock turns down Barca

Rangers manager turned down the sun and glamour of Barcelona to stay in Glasgow with Rangers. McKissock said he was flattered by the intrest of Barca but stated that he had the ambition to take Rangers on to greater things and that he wanted to boost Scottish footballs reputation by taking his team to the top.

Rangers sign Bojinov

Rangers signed Valeri Bojinov from Fiorentina for 8.25m. Rangers record signing signs a 3 year deal at Ibrox and will certainly push players for a regular first team place. Some strikers will be worried by his signiture.

Rangers held at Tynecastle

Rangers were held away from home at Tynecastle as both sides played poorly. Valeri Bojinov got a debut goal as he put The Gers infront but Rangers failed to capitalise. Cicero's failure to clear a corner resulted in the equaliser which was deserved after a sustained bit of Pressure by Hearts.
