Rangers rise above Pars

Rangers easy defated a lackluster Dunfermline to stretch the gap over second placed Celtic by 4 points. 3-1 was the final score as Rangers played competently but rested a few stars ahead of the massive Champions League match at Stamford Bridge.

Rangers hammered by World Class Blues

Rangers were demolished by a superb Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the score was 5-1. Rangers crumbled after Damien Duff's opener and Chelsea capitalised. Duff scored again and Wright Philips and Joe Cole netted as Chelsea went in at halftime 4-0. Rangers did have chances throughout the match but Cech was immense in goals and Guarin did manage to sneak a consolation but Torres made it 5 with 9mins to go. Rangers drop into the UEFA Cup for the second year running.

Rangers frustrated further by Jinx

Inverness CT now have a 100% record against Rangers in the past 3 games and have only lost twice in six games. They won again 3-2 at the Caldedonian Stadium. Guarin had Rangers infront but Bayne netted a double to turn it around, McAlister scored to make it 3-1 and a Parrat own goal made it 3-2. It could have been 3-3 right at the end as Scott Brown went through on goal but a sacrificial challenge from Richard Van Heulen stopped him from scoring but he was dismissed for the tackle.

Ricksen on top form for 5-Star Gers

Fernando Ricksen put in a Man of the Match performance against a tough Killie side who threw away any chances of a shock getting two men sent off. Rangers were 3-0 ahead when Killies fight back began, Invincible the scorer. They clawed another back before Invincible kicked Ricksen and was ordered off, James Fowler quickly followed and that allowed Rangers to seal the game.

Its a Merry Christmas for The Gers

Rangers ensured their manager and their fans had a great Christmas as they stayed top of the league and came out 3-1 winners over under achieving Hearts. Rangers were not troubled by Hearts throughout and will be annoyed to have lost a goal.

Rangers scrape past Dundee

Rangers rested some of their stars today against Dundee and almost paid the price. Sub Dado Prso came on for injured Ross McCormack to score a double with 20mins to go and win the game for the Gers. Not much else to say about what was a pretty poor match.

Rangers comprehensively beat rivals

Celtic were embarassed at home by Rangers in a magnificant performance by the Gers. Celtic had a reserve team keeper in goal today due to Boruc and Marshalls injuries but Nicholson had a very impressive old firm debut despite conceding 3 goals. Rangers front pair of Frau and Mutu won the match for them.

Farnerud agrees to join Rangers in Pre-Contract deal

Alexander Farnerud will join Rangers from Strasbourg in the summer on a free transfer, the young Swede agreed a 3 year deal with the SPL Champions and said he was excited about playing at a higher level.
