Rangers hurt by late goal
Rangers were stunned by a late goal at the Del Alpi against Juventus as they went down 2-1. Julien Rodriguez gifted Juve possesion from a Rangers freekick and Blasi slotted Del Piero through who dinked the ball over Craig Gordon with virtualy the last kick of the ball. Rangers did have the lead through Ross McCormack after Mutu had a shot parried but Del Piero restored parity 12 minutes later.

Rangers thrash Hibees
Rangers thumped Hibs at Ibrox despite Hibs going 1 up after 1 minute. Hugo Almeida was the scorer but Rangers hit back through a Ricksen freekick, a Cicero screamer and a Frau header. Ian Murray showed determination to get into the box and net a strong header for 4-1 and then the comeback was complete when Ferguson scored a sweet volley. There was time however for Hugo Almeida to get his second of the match with the only goal of the second half.

Rangers pay Aberdeen back
Rangers thrashed Aberdeen at Ibrox 4-0 in the quarter final of the League Cup. Adrian Mutu inspired Rangers to the victory where Rangers were rarely troubled.

Rangers battle hard against United
Dundee Utd gave Rangers a run for their money but in the end fell short. Rangers won 4-2 away from home in a thrilling game. Utd were wreckless in their tackling though and if they hadnt been perhaps they would have done better, no less than THREE penalties were awarded all slotted away.

Classy Gordon on form as Rangers get vital win
Rangers defeated Benfica 2-0 to find themselves in second place in Group D and have their future in their own hands. Rangers went ahead against the run of play through Adrian Mutu who scored a classy low strike. Dado Prso headed home the second just after halftime and from then it was all about Craig Gordon. The Scotland number 1 who has taken his chance this year and replaced Klos as the Rangers number 1 made six magnificant saves to keep Rangers infront, now all Rangers have to do is not lose at Stamford Bridge. Easier said than done.

Rangers scrape past Livi
Rangers just managed to defeat Livingston at Ibrox, it took a magnificant solo effort in the 90th min from Dado Prso to win it. Pinto had Livi ahead just before halftime with a bizarre goal, a ball whipped accross the box but missed everyone and ended up in the back of the net, but a trademark Ricksen freekick on 80mins and then Prso's goal won it for Rangers.
