Stenhousemuir manager Andrew Green adds another 3 players to his squad.

Veteran striker Jamie Forrester, Luxemburg Right midfielder Scott Gardner a yougn 18 year old and young Henry Goh a right side defender.

Another couple of risky transfers surely some people have got to be shown the door?

Your first comment!

I like the story, particularly as it is about a Scottish team!

Little bit on the basic side though - perhaps you could go into more detail as regards to matches, make up/over-exaggerate things a news story. Also try to change the angle on your managerial reign slightly. Add in conversations with the chairman perhaps, newspaper articles, phone calls etc.

Keep writing though.

Thanks for advice. Was going to give up on story as didn't know anybody was reading. Haven't really concentrated on this as my sink or swin story seems to be going well.

I will take your comments on board and try and expand on the information, but finding it difficult as I know nothing about Scottish football.

Anyway thanks for advice and hope you enjoy the reading when the standard gets better.

Leo.

Our first league match of the season and we are on our travels again.

Alloa had been relegated but had been installed as favourites along with ourselves. The pressure was on to get results right from the start of the season.

What a disaster we were 4-0 down after 30 minutes. And here I was thinking that promotion was going to be a possibility. We manage to pull 2 goals back to reduce the scoreline to 4-2 but the fans aren't happy.

Andy Green comments to the awaiting fans outside the ground "Thats the worse possible start we could have hoped for, starting on a losing foot. We need to get a win under our belt quickly and build on last season. Alloa were relegated last season so know what the standard is like above us, the race has only just begun and I'm not panicking yet."

Stenhousemuir cause cup upset

Scottish Division 3 side knock Division 2 side Berwisk out of the League Cup 1st Round. Promotion contenders Stenhousemuir were always on the back foot but solid defending and a well taken goal by Lee Collymore ensures that it is Stnhousemuir that progress to the next round.

Andy Green manager of Stenhousemuir was excited following the performance. "That was 100% better than against Alloa. Lee Colymore is in fine form and it is no wonder that he is attracting interest from other clubs. I am aware that Wycombe are interested but we have not received any bids for him. I will do my upmost to keep my star players at this club.

We did well although we were under pressure for the majority of the game. We will enjoy a few drinks tonight but won't let it distract us from our main focus, the next league match against Forfar. This will be our 4th away game on the run, I just can't wait till we play at home and the fans can really get behind us"

I get summoned into the Board Room.

"Hi Andy how are you?"
"Fine thanks and your good selves?"

"Yeah we are ok. Just thought we'd catch up with you that last result was perfect and wonderful, we would like to show our appreciation by giving you this gift." They present me with a bottly of bubbly expensive stuff it was.

"Thanks guys its really appreciated, feel like we could be moving this year, its very early days but I have a feeling in my water"

"We hope so" they all replied.

"Oh by the way chaps, not being cheeky, but this bubbly is really appreciated its just a shame that you couldn't bolster the transfer kitty instead. Cut the bubbly out and save the pounds for the team, I'll enjoy that much better"

They look in astonishment. I am one to speak the truth, why waste vital money on booze when it can be make or break in the transfer market.

Stenhousemuir's reward for the hard earned victory in the cup is another away trip this time to 1st Division Queen of the South.

Wycombe approach Stenhousemuir

The much talked about transfer speculation has finally been made offical.

Andy Green calls a press conference: "We have received and declined an offer for Lee Collymore, it would be unfair to disclose the nature of the bid, although it was very tempting. However my aim and it always has been is to keep the squad together and progress up a division. Wycombe would have to improve their bid if we are to consider it. Lee is aware of the decision and is happy to stay and play for Stenhousemuir."

Sources at Wycombe however comment that Stenhousemuir turn down £1,000, a 30% sell on clause and a friendly in a bid to keep one of Andy Green's bargain buys.

Indifferent Season at Stenhousemuir

Andy Green's Stenhousemuir are lying 9th in the 3rd Division following their 2nd league defeat in as many games. Their 1-0 defeat against recently relegated Forfar means that Green's team has failed to score any points in their first 2 games.

Green comments "It's disappointing, but its football you have to take the rough with the smooth. We have played the two teams that got relegated and failed to pick anything up, we just need to ensure that we go on a long winning streak to get involved with the promotion chase. There are a number of teams this season capable of promotion and I know that we will be one of them"

We crash to our third straight defeat and for my first time in ages I feel slightly under pressure I call Paul Smith (assistant manager) into my office.

"What we doing wrong Paul? Things were going so well last time, now we are struggling and losing by the odd goal every week, we are so unpredictable"

"I dunno boss, they are lacking motivation I think the dissappointment of losing in the play offs has damaged some of their confidence"

"Right...tell them if they don't pull their socks up and forget about what happened last year then we will never progress, its pointless thinking about the past we need to consider the future and me and you won't have a future here if things are continuing as they do."
