30th of July 05. Rangers have signed Brazilian midfeilder Fernandao for £7.25 million. The brazilian will likley join Ferguson in the midfeild, but can also play upfront.

vs. Motherwell (away)

Rangers started good, but Motherwell hit on the counter and scored first. To make matters worse, Rodrigez came off injured after 25mins. Then on 37mins Arca came off injured. They were the turning points though. Arshavin made to crosses and Vucinic finnished them both, meaning rangers were 2-1 up at half time. In the second half Rangers took domination. After Buffel replaced Albertz, N;Zogbia went down the left and made a goal for Farfan. Arshavin made a hat-trick of assists when he gave Farfan his second. Full time was 4-1 to Rangers and Vuinic was man of the match.

vs. Hibs (away)

With a second hard away game on the trot, Campbells men had to prove thier worth still. Landzaat returned to the side after his injury. Rangers got the upper hand after 18mins when Konte was sent off for a professional foul on Farfan. However they would need to wait another 9mins for a goal. They won a penalty that captain Jorg Albertz put home. They only needed to wait another 2mins when Farfan made space for Vucinic who got his third of the season. The second half the Hibs goalie made a name for himself. 2 Albertz free-kicks and 3 Vucinic shots were saved. Also good chances from Farfan, and substitutes Burke and Prso were stopped. Final score 2-0.

After getting his first goal since returning "home" as Albertz has always put rangers, Albertz said to journolists, "I have made my return home since that Fleebag Advocaat said i wasnt good enough. I am now captain which houners me, and i have scored on one of my old scoreing grounds at Hibs. I couldnt have asked more." After that an emocinal Jorg Albertz left the room.

8th of August 2005. Rangers have confirmed Luke Young as thier latest signing. Young has been told he will be a back-up for the first team. However he will not play in the Champions League despite all other center back exept Rodrigez likley unavalible. This is because he will be ineligable as they confirmed 25 leagal players 2 or 3 days ago.

vs. Maccabi Hafia (Home) (champions league)

Robert Green is injured, Zokora and Mokoena aslo out, meaning Rodrigez and Klos play. Fernandao is in for Ferguson and steals Albertz captaincy, however Albertz remains the vice. Fernandao gave a very bizzare debut goal after 6mins when his corss went over the goalie and Vucinic just watched the tricky Brazilian's cross go into the far corner. After the half-hour Rangers scored again when Vucinic's pass found Farfan who scored. Straight after the kick-off Fernandao won it and Farfan returned the favore, assisting Vucinic who scored. Half time 3-0. Games are often won in a midfeild battle, Rangers seem to have taken lessons from the very best. At this point Prso came on for Farfan. On the hour Albertz's free kick and Arca's cross was headed home by Prso. He scored again 10 mins later when he stole the ball from a defender. Then on 80mins Gavrancic was jelous of the midfeild and Strikers and while hovering outside the area at a corner the ball bounced to him and he rallied it home. 6-0. The game finnished at 6-0 and Rangers look good for the away leg.

Dunfermline At (home)

Green returns. Mokoena and Vucinic on international dutie so cant play. Zokora still injured. Buffel plays for Vucinic and Fernandao plays upfont so Buffel goes into the mid. Luke Young is in over Rodregez. Halftime 0-0, there is one word to describe the dunfermline goalie, outstanding. He has stopped this being 4 or 5 nil already. Into the second half and Rangers finally scored, Albertz pass to Arshavin resulted in a cross and Fernandao headed home. On 70mins Albertz pass made Fernandao who scored. full time 2-0.

Falkirk (home)

Its top v bottom. Rangers for the first time this season are able to feild a full strenth side. Despite all this it took 85mins of Rangers domination before the deadlock was broken. It came when N'Zogbia was fouled in the box and Landzaat stood up as Albertz was taken off earlier. Denny scored his first Rangers goal. full time 1-0.

vs. Maccabi Hafia (away) (champions league)

Young defender Igor Petkovic is promoted from the under 19s to give Lokora a rest and gain first team experiance. Rangers dominated for the first half, with a good passing game. Petkovic's age couldnt be told going by his good passing. It was this that lead to the opening goal when he found Arca who crossed and Fernandao made a midfeil run and headed home. halftime 1-0. Mokoena came on for 16 year old Petkovic at half time, due to fitness. fulltime was 1-0 and a 7-0 aggragate score.

Killie (away)

Petkovic returns to the under 19s so Lokora is back. Landzaat is injured to N'Zogbia gets a start. Rangers scored through top scores Vucinic after 7mins. Afgter 30mins Rangers broke and hit Killie again, Fernandao's pass giving Peru man Farfan an opportunity that could not be turned down. However before halftime a Gary Wales stunner went in the top right hand corner. After halftime a Killie midfeilder re-preduced the stunning first half shot a make it 2-2. After this rangers went for it using a 3-4-3 diamond with no wingers. It paid off after 20mins when Farfan found space for Vucinic who got his 5th of the season. Later Prso also got a nice shot on goal to make the full time score 4-2. Rangers were lucky but main man Vucinic got man of the match again deservedly.
