25/09/06 Acadamy of Light, Sunderland

Today it emerged that Stephen Elliott would join England u21 Chris Brown on the injury list. Elliott's injury is worse than first thought and he will now be out for 3 weeks.

"Of course its a blow, I don't think there is a team in the Premiership that could cope with their two first choice strikers being out at the same time, but we'll go away and have a think about the best way to get through this."

Sunderland drop 3 places to 10th in the table.

"We can't argue with the result, Fulham were good value for their win and after we scored they didn't give us another look in. I was pleased with how well we defended on the most part but we lost our concentration a couple of times and they punished us for that."

Hi everyone, i'm really struggling to keep up with my game, things are hectic at the minute and will be for the next few months, i was thinking that instead of updating game by game i do an update every few months or so, just giving results and scorers with some other stuff, king of lower league manager style but with more detail.

Not sure if this will be acceptable so please let me know
