Author awards are year-round awards independent of stories, so they wouldn't be part of the two stories nomination periods. That's my interpertation anyway.

Bryan's right, I left them out because they're too much down to the whole year.
Oh, and the geographical awards might yet be split up in more regions depending on activity in each of them. If anything gets enough votes to go into, say, the British final, and there'd be enough to set up a seperate English and Scottish category again, any finalist already confirmed would automatically go into the relevant category.
Thought it better to split up things if applicable, than to merge things due to a lack of entries. New look positive news approach and all

Excellent idea. When I was slightly more prominent on this forum I often felt that members who had created stories in the early months of the year were overlooked in favour of recently created or updated stories. This, as I guess it was designed for, eradicates this problem.
