8th August

Cagliari have snapped up Florentia's other center back Dario Dainelli for £11million. This will add invaluble back-up at the back, however he is very similar to other defenders in the team, and now it will be a guessing game to who starts. he will not start agaisnt Napoli on sunday as he is cup tied.

Sorry ive been away.

Anyway the next game wss Napoli at home. The keeper as called up to the Isreali squad, therefore the squad is.

CampagnlogoParisi Hofland Ujfalusi AlexisSesma Petrov(c) Malbranqe Konan Pazzini John

The first chance came within an hour when Pazzini found konan who broke, running past a few players but shot at the goalie. The first goal came when Cagliari broke down the left Sesma's cross was met by the rising head of Collins John, it sailed in. After a few chances from each time Cagliari broke on 29. The ball fell to Malbranque on the edge of the area who shot and it was a marvellous tip overe the bar by the Napoli keeper.

At half time there had been half chances for both teams but other than malranque's and the john goal nothing worth talking about. Pazzini came off for Eddie Gaven. This was due to a fitness worrie.

A chance came straiht from the kick-off when Gaven found Konan who ran forward down the right. His cross found John who headed, the keeper parried but Gaven wasnt quick enough to punnish before the keeper picked up. Straight from the move Napoli hit on the break and Inacio Pla shot and the keeper was nowwhere. A minute later Petov came off injured Esposito came on to replace him with Gaven going into the midfeild role. Hofland took over captaincy. On 80mins strangest goal you ever seen is likley to take Napoli throgh, Grecio shot from the center circule edge, it took a very bizzare swearve and wriggled in. However on 90mins Steed Malbranque made his name in Italy, winning the ball off a midfeilder, going oast one and striking with furrie, the keeper got a touch but it was near impossibke to save.

Full time and no changes made

In 114 mins Sesma found John who scored but was dissallowed due to a foul.

17th August

Donald campbell, manager of Cagliari has declared interest in two players. He is after trazbourg younster Alexander Farnerud. Farnerud is a young swedish player who can play anywhere in an AM or FC role on anyside.

He is also after norweigan Morten Gamst-Pederson who is currently at Blackburn Rovers. When the press went to his Blackburn house he rufused to comment, however his agent said, "Mortern may be interested in a move to Sant'Elia in the near future."

It has all been encourageing signs for the Italian side since Roman Abramovich took charge, however it will be hard to see any succsess with the current side that they have.

20th August

MArk Hughes has coomented to sky sports news that he will not sell Morten Gamst-Pederson. He sees the norweigan as a key player at Ewood parka dn is almost idespecible.

Blackburn fans are delighted with the comment and plan to make sure that the move dosent happen under any circumstances. However Cagliari have shown their enthusiasm for the player by bidding anyway.

The 23 year old norweigen winger is rumored to want to leave and if they do reject a bid all hell may brake loose for the ewwwod park side. The Norway manager commented saying, "In Italy the defences are harder to brake down and i think Morten could make his name as the attacking player he is there."

Roman Abramovich has commented that he wants the Norweigan as much as Campbelland will aid him in anyway possible.
