Authors Note: I need to make lot of uploads today so I'd catch up with the game. I'll make this one and later tonight I'll add another one.

25th of April 2013

We continued our UEFA Cup road in Madrid as we were planning to get our ticket to Brugge for the final. I didn't need to rest anyone, but left winger Martins was out on injury though. Former Inter legend Walter Zenga sat on the VIP section of Bernabeu and he warned me about Robinho before the match as we had a long conversation.

UEFA Cup Semifinals, Leg 2
Real Madrid 1:1 Inter (43. Leo Messi)

Leo Messi holded our flag up high as we got through to the finals with ease and Madrid was brushed aside. We controlled the match from start to the finish and they're goal was just another lucky situation. In finals we'll meet German outfit Borussia Dortmund who I sold my striker Soares to in summer.

28th of April 2013

The match againist Lecce was more like a big event than a football game. We were supposed to get our title after the game. Despite Coppa Italia final 3 days away, I didn't rest anyone and planned to finish the season with more than 100 points.

Italian Serie A, Week 35
Inter 3:0 Lecce (1., 30., 48. Adriano)

Adriano reached the legendary 50 goals mark with another brilliant hattrick and alltogether, he is nearing 70 goals for Inter in ONE season. But after the game, it was the party time. Half of Milano was partying, fireworks everywhere. We all felt sorry for Milanistas who had to go to work next day, since that obviously wasn't in Inter fans minds.

After we had washed ourselves in locker room, we had few roofless cars waiting for us and everyone sat in. I was on the biggest of them sitting there with Adriano, Scudetto and Gianluca Curci who was our captain in most games, since Carl Medjani was injuried or benched usually. To count the people out there was impossible. There were atleast 100 000 Inter fans in our short way according to raports, the streets were full.

We stopped infront of the Milano Opera House. There were some of the legendary players waiting for us. Javier Zanetti, Giacinto Facchetti, Sandro Mazzola, Giuseppe Bergomi, Walter Zenga and so on. Only one guy was missing - Massimo Moratti.

Hords of people came with us to the San Raffaele hospital were Moratti was laying. It wasn't that late and people started to sing Pazza Inter just under the window of Massimo. It was a bit rude towards those who were very sick, but I was sure they'd understand. The players, management and ex-guys who came with us from the Opera House went in with the scudetto. Massimo was strong enough to hold the Scudetto. He took it and we drived his wheelchair to the window, there he standed up as we opened the window, at the same moment Massimo rised to trophy. Fans sang the Pazza Inter even louder. Many persons, including me, had tears in their eyes. The old man knew it was his last trophy and first big trophy he can see as chairman of Inter.

1st of May 2013

The joy of Scudetto had calmed down, atleast in the team as we had a chance to make fans even more happier. In search for a treble, our first mission was to make sure we'll win Lazio in front of home crowd in full Giuseppe Meazza. Coppa Italia had been easy and I hoped it'd continue like that in the finals also. Only guys out were Martins and Carl Medjani.

Coppa Italia Final, Leg 1
Inter 4:2 Lazio (4. Rey Volpato, 37., 55. pen. Adriano, 66. Obafemi Martins)

Great victory and it made sure we're going to do a double. Lazio gave us some headache, but 3rd placed team in league was struggling in defence and Akinfeev couldn't handle the pressure on him either as we really got us going in the minutes from 37 to 66. Luckily we managed to avoid injuries as we had UEFA Cup final coming up in 8 days.

5th of May 2013

I had week 36 game in Serie A ahead of me on Sunday. Inter's opponent was Catania, who have been very incosistent this season. I choosed a half first, half second team line-up with Adriano getting planned rest for the first time in this season. Also I rested left-back Marco Luddi and gave Erminio Rullo a chance to shine.

Italian Serie A, Week 36
Catania 0:3 Inter (1. Daniele De Rossi, 8. Gianpaolo Pazzini, 12. Obafemi Martins)

That very quick start made sure I can make even more subs in the line-up at half-time and I bringed more first teamers out including Oba Martins and De Rossi. The win itself was welldeserved and Catania didn't even had a clear chance in the game and only got shots from edge of the area which weren't a problem for Curci.

8th of May 2013

We were preparing for the Dortmund match in Brugge for a fair amount of days and we already had a pitch training also, to get used to it a bit. Left winger Martins was back on bench, but Emanuele La Rocca got injuried in training and Carl Medjani stepped out to play.

Just before the game my phone rang, it was son of Massimo. He sounded very sad and he said to me: "Dad is dead. He died few hours ago as he had heart-attack while sleeping." I didn't know what to answer, I knew this was going to happen soon, we all knew, but still it felt sad, shocking. I told him, "Your dad was a great man, a great friend. Be proud of him. We'll dedicate todays came to him."

I ran to the referees office, told him to delay the game so I could tell the players and they could get some time to prepare. He agreed and told me that he'll tell the opponents later on and will also let the stadium dictor announce the delay and the reasons behind this.

I told it to the players and everyone was shocked. Some cried, some not, but everyone was sad. 30 minutes later we steped on pitch to memory Massimo. A minute of silence was announced as the whole stadium was quiet without a smallest of noise coming.

UEFA Cup Final
Inter 5:1 Dortmund (8. Leo Messi, 19., 27., 42. Obafemi Martins, 33. Adriano)

It was the greatest every first half performance by the lads. Moratti was membered in honour and he would have been proud with the game. We did not celebrate any of our goals or the win later on and neither did our fans.

11th of May 2013

Morattis funerals were tomorrow, but we had a chance to send him away with a good gift by getting treble as Lazio welcomed us in Olimpico. Another 1 minute silence started the game and both teams wore black armbands. Thanks to the friendship of fans, both teams Ultra groups did not wave any flags and only had banners of Massimo up.

Coppa Italia Final, Leg 2
Lazio 1:2 Inter (45. Adriano, 85. Gianpaolo Pazzini)

It was our last gift to Massimo. We were sad that he only managed to see one title in the season we won the treble. Inter showed legendary displays in this season and everyone in the club made themselves and the fans proud as we won everything we fought for this season. Intertoto, Serie A, UEFA Cup, Coppa Italia.

14th of May 2013

The end of the season was knocking on the door and 2 days after Moratti's funeral, we had Palermo at home. As Moratti was put into his grave, we didn't wear any black armbands anymore. I decided to give young and very promising defensive midfielder Bruno Moretti a start in Daniele De Rossi's place to show his skills a bit.

Italian Serie A, Week 37
Inter 2:0 Palermo (54., 61. Adriano)

Adriano was on fire and scored his 72nd goal of the season! The match itself was great for Inter and Palermo only had chances from our huge defensive errors in second half, but then there was Curci for that.

16th of May 2013

2 days after, we completed our Serie A season in Cesena as we played local team. I decided to rotate much of the team and give non-regulars a chance or give some guys their last match in Inter shirt. One of them was John O'Flynn.

Italian Serie A, Week 38
Cesena 0:1 Inter (44. Adriano)

With lack of some first team players, our team wasn't as creative as it is usually, but Cesena only got chances thanks to counters as our defence was almost all 2nd choice. John did very well and got a nice rating from Gazzetta, but unfortunately all the passes went to Adriano instead of him. But the amazing Serie A season ended without losses and with 5 consecutive sheets. Inter had the best attack what scored over 100 goals and defence that conceeded 26 goals. Overally it gave us 106 points!

17th of May 2013

23rd of May 2013

The phone rang at my home as we had gone on summer holidays. I was on holiday from Inter, though, not from football. I had important stuff to do in summer and money to invest. Anyway, back to the phone call, it was from a old "hometown".

"Hi, Tanel!"
- "John there?"
"Yes, it's me. I'd want you to ask when will you come?"
- "I'll grab a plane tomorrow. We'll meet in London just like planned. I don't have much time at the moment so I can't come to closer to you."
"Yes, just like as we planned. I'm in London at the moment anyway."
- "It's nice. As the money we're talking about is big, I've got some demands."
"Could you give me them so I could prepare myself?"
- "I'll make it short. I want a new manager. Friend of mine, learned from me. He's got brilliant English."
"Learned from you?"
- "Yes, in Holland. He's talented. Trust me!"
"Okay, but please take him with you then."
- "Sure, it's no problem for us."
"Any other demands? Yes, I want to see some NT players in the team so the popularity of the club would rise."
- "But the sums?"
"Sums are no problem. Me and board of my company are ready to invest much money so we'd get into CL Groupstage, after we do that, maybe a bigger stadium and we'll start earning nice profits every year."
- "Long term business?"
"Let's just say investment. I like this club, but I don't like it's transfer policy or manager."
- "Ok, my wife is anxiously waiting to get out now. So bye!"
"Bye! Will meet you in London!"

25th of May 2013

So I took a plane to London. It's time to tell that me and Maria are co-owners of one very succesful company were we invested our money to few years ago. Now it's making nearly billion of profit every year and our treasure rising very quickly. As Inter manager I don't have time to use my brains at two things at a time. Maria handles it mostly, but I'll have a say at home and we co-own our stakes there. So the fortune I had got from there, I talked to the other member of the board and we decided to put our money together and make an investment to a football club. Mostly with my money, but he was helping me also. We did a little corporation for that investing and I met to discuss this thing in London with the owner of Cork City.

"Hi, here you are, John."

- "Hey! Nice to meet you again."

"Robin isn't here yet. He's plane should land in like 30 minutes time so we can discuss other things at the moment."

- "Yes."

"As you know, I want to invest some money into your club. I don't want to get into management itself and I just want to make sure Cork gets to glory and this project could do something in Europe. I want to have a say in transfers and I want my own manager in charge of the team. That's all. Then I'm willing to invest."

- "I know that. I can offer you all of that. But I'm worried that you may jump off the ship soon and leave me with all those wages and stuff."

"Well, for that we could do a little contract so I couldn't trick you. I guarantee I won't do anything rush."

- "So I can have your word on this?"

"Yes."

- "Nice."

"But about transfer market. I will make it Irish one with few foreign talents also. I've contacted some players already."

- "Very good. I will keep myself on backstage on this matter then."
"Yeah, you can keep your budget close. We will buy around 35% of stakes to get some profit back also."

"Yes, yes. But going into figures, what kind of sums we are talking about?"

- "This summer? 30 million pounds. Transfers + their wages."

"Wow! That's like... Huge!"

- "Well, revolution is a revulotion!"

Convesation went on with more and more details when I finally recieved a phone call from airport as my right-hand man Robin Bergen arrived. He was set to take over as manager. We talked at the airport cafe. I explained why I wanted Bergen here and what he will do. He's style is similiar to me and basically his more like my puppet on that thing as he does what I want mostly. In one word, I'm like a half-manager there. I had planned this move for a long time, first I wanted to return to there when I was ending my career, but it was too far away, I wanted to get back there. Not the way I would've wanted, but better than nothing and the fans will be let known who's behind it. So I will confirm my legend status over there once again. I also plan to visit their games and so on. Rob will sent me tapes of the matches all the time also.

Rob & John, the new owner and chairman of Cork City after that Brian Lennox was put to jail for known things, left to Ireland later on as they were settling in. I grabbed a plane back to Milano as I had to leave my son to a friends place because Maria was in USA with her parents.

Authors Note: What I did was that I created a second manager in the game with the name of Robin Berger. Actually it's me who plays the games.

Thoughts

It was unlucky month for Cork. After watching tapes, I was sure that wins should've comed in all of those matches, but players were incompetent in front of the goals. Though mixed feelings grabed me when seeing old guys Alan Bennett, George O'Gallaghan, Denis Behan in the team. Atleast for the last one, I was very sad that he couldn't get a move abroad, but yet it was great to see that he scored 4 games coming off bench on 3 or 4 occasions. He also saved our league cup campaign. George O'Gallaghan only played in last 2 matches of the month and scored in both of them and dictated Cork's play in that 5:0 win againist Wilton Utd.
Thanks to lenghty negotiations with lots of players and teams, we also came up with amazing transfer campaign as we spent a sum around 20 million pounds on new guys.

At the same time, Inter signed Mirko Stefani from Bari. He was very wanted figure in Peninsula and 29-year old centre-back became Inter's as we had to get a new centre-back. Italian costed 2 million pounds.

From Goal.com

Inter sells 3 players, releases 1

Inter today announced that Giovanni Pasquale, Loic Poujol & Carl Medjani were all sold and Carmelo Carioti left on free transfer.

"We needed some money and cut down the wages. We made few wrong calculations in the beginning of last year so we lost lots of money. Now we cutted down the wages for nearly half million pounds per month and earned nearly 25 million pounds with sells," said Inter Tanel Tursk on the presentation of Mirko Stefani.

"We signed Stefani and called back two players, Mario Trotta and Jacopo Ricci. We've got a big enough squad and I don't believe that we need to buy or sell anyone anymore. Three of those players who left barely set feet on pitch in final part of the season. If we're short of players, I've got a great youth academy behind me."

Inter is going to hunt for another treble this season, but UEFA Cup will be replaced with Champions League.
Authors Note: Is this Cork City reporting system good enough? I want to add some depth stuff also so I don't wanna go into describing those games.

Thoughts

It was almost brilliant month for us as we conceeded just 2 goals in 8 matches, both in CL and one of them was a goalkeeper screw up. I was present at the Sliema Wanderers away game and later on I met with players in dressing room, but couldn't talk much as they didn't have much time to spend since plane was ready to leave pretty quickly after the match. It was nice to see that John got himself back on scoresheet for Cork, but he missed some great matches in some games. New signins have been perfect, espescially Darren Delaney, Brian Duffy and Aiden McGeady. We could score much more goals, but I didn't sign a better striker and the transfer window closed. But we basically give only 4-5 shots away in every game which is very good. Olympiakos will be a though nut to crack, but combining with the current displays and a bit of luck, CL groupstage could be reality and some of my money would come back immediately. Also, we agreed that the training facilities of the team will be upgraded very soon. Stadium upgrading won't happen after this season, but could become reality in next season. Shelbourne isn't far away from us either as we could cut the gap to 3 points very easily.

6th of August 2013

I decided to opt for one more signing. I got my hands on one of the biggest future goalkeeping stars as I signed Italian Giovanni Calabrese from Levante for 1,3 millions. He's just 18-year old, but already U21 international.

6th of August 2013

I was taking my morning coffee and Maria stepped up to me and rubbed my shoulders and then said, "When are you going to Greece?" I had forgotten that my plane will leave in half hour time. I quickly drank my coffee, looked for my suitcase and off I went. Before I went, I gave Maria a little kiss on lips. Couldn't see little Tom, who was sleeping. Unfortunately I coudln't be on his 3rd birthday, since I was at Sliema Wanderers vs. Cork game that day.

I catched the plane right on time as I stayed at my Milano department for that night and it wasn't far away from Malpensa airport. I got agreement with Moratti's son for this. Flight to Greece took couple of hours and I went off in Athene. My destination, Pireus, wasn't far away and I could make few stops on my way to the beautiful port town to watch some ancient art.

I reached Pireus at 8 PM and I decided to get couple of drinks at my hotel. Suprisingly, Estonian tourist group came into the hotel and it was like gift from heaven for me. I hadn't speak Estonian for a long time in real life. Sure in internet and I readed some stuff, but I'm more used to million other languages I've used in the end. Most of them knew me and it was nice to show them, that I'm just like them, that I like beer and I can talk about all the same subject they are. Except when it came to what is going on in Estonia.

I told them why am I here and since they didn't have no schedule, they promised that they will come to watch Cork's game tomorrow. We went to some ticket shop and bought 10 tickets, also did a short city tour and checked the stadium. We returned to the hotel in midnight as the nightlife was at it's peak. As much as I wanted to get some more and more drinks I didn't want to do anything bad before the game and also didn't want to make anything stupid.

7th of August 2013

I seted myself in at the stadium 30 minutes before the game. The athmosphere was pretty one-sided. Unsuprisingly. The tourist group came in just when the Champions League anthem was playing.

Game started off quickly and by 9th minute we had taked the lead. After beautiful team move, Brian Duffy toyed the opponent goalkeeper and sent in an easy shot. We controlled the game, but eventually managed to conceed once in second half. Despite numerous chances and much more posession, we didn't manage to score any goals and it ended 1:1. Though, giving us a very good platform for advancing.

Later on, I said goodbye to my fellow Estonians and moved to the Cork City dressing rooms where the morale was very high after great display. I spent few words of talk with them and later on, I had a big sat-down with some of the old lads. (Alan Bennett, Denis Behan & John O'Flynn) We memorized the legendary Cork of 2006 & 2005. We all agreed that it was the most finest of them all with tons of potential that never got proper use since I left. There have been many of those teams in past. Teams with great potential and talent, young teams who win trophies. Sometimes those teams just fade away, only 1 player from the starting line-up in those times managed to make it. Gary Curran is now Irish international and plays regulary in Premiership and is rated very highly.

17th of August 2013

Inter's season finally started. Our first match was in Supercup final againist Lazio. The line-up was same as in the start of last season Serie A, but new signing Mirko Stefani was on bench and ready for possible action. I was more aware of Lazio this time, since they already secured their defence with our own Carl Medjani who was followed by other nice signings.

Italian Supercup
Inter 1:1 Lazio (96. Adriano) (Inter won 4:3 on penalties)

We played very nice game, but Akinfeev was brilliant in their goal. Though luckily Gianluca Curci picked his time to shine when players started with the penalty kicks. Italian NT 2nd choice GK made 2 great saves and Inter won thanks to penalties from Adriano, Messi, Mango & Martins. (Three M's and the A)

21st of August 2013

Few days after securing the second title in 2013 season with a win againist Shamrock Rovers in League Cup final, Cork City made Olympiakos look like a joke. Cork collected 3:0 victory in front of 9900 fans as Femi Opabunmi, Brian Duffy & Robert Bayly were on target. My fear of group with Willem II, Inter and Cork didn't fulfil luckily. Cork got Aston Villa, Benfica & Feyenoord, while Inter got Schalke, Fenerbache & Rangers in their return to Champions League.
