8th of May 2010

On 8th of May, we had a match that was set to decide our faith. Whether we will play Intertoto or not. We met NAC Breda at home. They were decent outfit, who were underachieving at the end of the season and I was aware of their strenghts, espescially with my injury crisis.

Dutch Premier Division, Week 33
Willem II 2:0 NAC Breda (10. Leroy Fer, 85. Patrick de Groot)

Awesome win. One foot in Europe I think. It was equal, but we were better upfront and created more chances. De Groot has really showed his potential with those last games of the season and I will be counting on him for the future.

16th of May 2010

Nothing wasn't sure yet. Groningen could have robbed my 7th place as it was time to play the last game of the season. We had to hope on others as we met 3rd placed Utrecht away. I had sent my personal update man to Eindhoven where Excelsior met with my big rival.

Dutch Premier Division, Week 34
FC Utrecht 2:1 Willem II (58. Christoph Mattes)

As excepted, a loss, but good news. Yes, we're in Intertoto! Excelsior - Grongingen ended with Excelsiors win. Chairman rushed to congratulate me on this great day. We will now have to work hard and maybe we can pull UEFA Cup place out of the hat. Not much to comment, table speaks for itself:

18th of May 2010

Huge party in Tilburg. This was the biggest end of the season party since I won my second title in Cork. All the club's staff, players and back-room figures had rented a local club. It had everything from cold drinks to hot babes. Except Maria ofcourse. She has too big dummy now. Anyway, I took it to the maximum...

19th of May 2010

"It's nice to see you waiting up, Mr. Tursk," I heard a voice telling me. I was suspective. Not another bad guy!?
"Where am I?" I asked with a dizzy head.
"Apparently, you're in police offices," as the guy with the badge on his chest walked up to the bars.
"What did I do?"
-"Nothing, you were caught driving drunk and also you rammed an expensive luxury car... that's about it."
"Oh, so! Can't rememer being drunk."
- "Anyway, you will have to pay one healty fine plus a big compensation for the luxury car."
"Which car?"
- "You'll see it soon. The owner will be right here soon. I can't let you free before the compensation has been paid."
"Well then. Don't I have any breakfast?"
- "No. You can find some bugs in the corner of the room if you're hungry."

So minutes went by. A guy in a suit then opened the bar.

"Hello, mr. Tursk. If you're well known to Dutch football, you should know me..."
- "Aren't you John C. Jaake, chairman of Ajax?"
"Yes I am. You're smart!"
- "Well, thank you."
"I'm asking you a little favour. A favour that would keep you from paying a compensation which is around 1 million euro, since my McLaren is not good enough to drive anymore."
- "Can't we talk about this later. I need something to eat."
"Okay, mr. Tursk. I will get you out of the jail and get you a decent meal in some restaurant."

So, soon after I could go out of the jail, as the officer opened the door. We rushed to the car, as my stomach was more than empty. On my way, I grabbed some cold water on my face since the aftermath was not the biggest of the pleasures. In the car, I called Maria at home. She was worried about me and couldn't sleep for the night. I was not happy with that, since it's no good for the baby. I told him that I managed to end up sober house or what ever it was. She was suprised, since I wasn't drunk at all when I left the party. So were I. I didn't remember no ramming of the car or getting caught driving drunk.

Anyway, soon we got into a restaurant inside the town. It's owned by one of Jaake's business partners. So we took a table in far corner of the dining room. I ordered a few big pancakes and a hamburger. Pretty original. I had been shut up in the career, but as soon as Jaake filled up my stomach, I was ready for a conversation.

"Which car is it to be example?"
- "A very rare McLaren. Got it on an auction."
"Which version?"
- "I don't know. It's my son's. I just paid."
"A million euros is pretty big money for a car..."
- "I said it's very rare."
"Sure. But what did you liked to ask me."
- "Finish your meal, then let's go into non-crowded room."
"Okay."

So we moved into a dark room inside of the restaurant. Jaake hit the lights, and there was a office table. Not used for a long time it seems, since it looked like new. There was just one song, so Jaake went to find me another one from the house. So as soon as he had found one, he started talking.

"I could hold this as a secret, when you will quit Willem II job..."
- "This sounds like an unacceptable offer! Why?"
"Because I want you to become a manager of Ajax. Everyone out there knows your talents."
- "Thanks for the compliment, but I can't accept that."
"Then, you will leave me no other choice."
- "What choice?"

The moment, the so-called police officer stepped into the room with a gun. Jaake put on a contract with a pencil. I had no other choice, but to sign.

"Well, I hope you're happy now."
- "Yes, now my son can take over the Willem II team and lead them to relegation and you could take us to league title."
"Relegation!? What is going on?"
- "Yes, I hate Willem's chairman, but he thinks I'm a great friend of his. I know that he slept with my wife. He doesen't know that I know about this. Now I'm taking a sweet revenge. He's going to hire him, if you leave."

I was about to but my pen on the paper, but then I thought, why not...

"Sorry, deal is off...", I said as the contract was ripped to pieces. The moment I did that, I throwed the pieces of paper out of my hands grabbed my chair and hit the police officer named Erwin with that. He got knocked, couldn't take his gun out in right time. So it was just I and Jaake. He pulled out another gun, but he would have been a moron to shoot. Unless he wants to go to jail. He did not have no muffler on it. So I closed the door and stepped towards home.

I was on the street, looking my way to home, but it was unknown place for me! Soon I managed to understand that I'm in Rotterdam. More than 50 km's away from Tilburg. Behind I saw Jaake running after me, then taking a car. I didn't know where to run. I've been to Rotterdam with bus and just been to training ground and stadiums.

After running for many minutes, I saw a sign. Bus station, I made a trick, by running past the bus station, but then made a rush turn, when I had gone past it 500 meters. But I didn't see the car. I was suprised. I changed my way back and went towards the bus station. Walking like a normal person. The street was very crowded. I stepped through the door of the bus station, but there I saw him standing. He knew I'm coming here. I had to turn back. Couldn't see is there any bus going to Tilburg.

So, I moved away from the bus station. I also discovered that I have no money or mobile phone. I just had it before I went into restaurant. So I was pretty helpless. Going home by hitchhiking would have been dumb by Willem II's manager and I would have been in danger of being seen by Jaake, despite Amsterdam is other way from Rotterdam. I had to choose between two things. Either taking a cab or going to the Feyenoords training ground and ask some money. For funny reasons, the first one seemed more safe for me. So I started looking for a taxi.

Finally one answered to my "STOP!" call. I asked the driver to go to Tilburg. He was from Tilburg himself, but was a fan of Feyenoord. Anyway, I didn't tell him anything, he knowed me and asked why am I here calling a cab. I couldn't tell him anything. And I was also more worried is everything all right with Maria.

After 30 minutes of driving, I was home. Rushed through the home door. Maria was sitting there, nothing was wrong and she did know exactly as much as I told him through phone, which was all a big lie since it was set-up. But before I told him anything, I decided to call to police.

Soon after I could hear the door-bell ringing. I couldn't see who's behind there since it was already dark. So I opened the door. I could see a big and little Jaake there.

"What do you want?"
- "I think you know."
"Sorry, but I'm not gay and I'm not gonna **** with your little kid here."
- "So you're cocky also."
"Isn't that the attitude in Ajax? Do you really think that I don't know what's the probelm in Ajax? I didn't reject you in 2009 because of no reason..."
- "Hmm... Aren't you going to invite me inside?"
"Why? Dogs belong outside."
- "I see. I believe in you and that's why I want you to become the manager of our team."
"That's quite way to convince me. Anyway, you sucked in that."
- "We'll see who will become winner in this."
"Oh, your son has a gun. But do I hear sirens from far... oh... never mind."
- "I could make my son shoot you... you know?"
"I do. But I doubt you & son would want to be married to a big German in the jail for 10 years and more."

I shutted the door. Behind me and heared the police coming here. They were cut down and on their way to jail. That's why I have a security camera on my door.

Scandal in Ajax

Scandal brokes out in Casino Eredivisie, as Ajax chairman John C. Jaake is caught black-mailing and threatening Willem II boss Tanel Tursk.

The police officals have not made any announcement and have forbidden any of involved persons to make public comments on the case, but it's believed that several members of Ajax board and Jaake's son are involved. Jaake was arrested in front of the Tursk's house.

The case will go on court tomorrow and it's possible that Jaake will get a lenghty jail sentence.

The case has created a lot of fears with Ajax fans and already couple of businessmans have announced that they would be interested in buying Jaake's share.

Ajax chairman becomes murderer

Ajax chairman John C. Jaake is lost of his senses and instead of few years in jail, he choosed that he'd rather stay here for whole of his life. Jaake lost his sense in the jail and in madness, killed two of his cellmates.
Jaake now has no other way that a life-time sentence.

His shares in Ajax have been handed over to his brother, who is set to sell them since, he has no interests in football at all.

The case is on the verge of solving and several members of Ajax board have also been arrested thanks to cofession of a guy close to the crime.

Those actions have made a lot of people interesting in buying Ajax as some shareholders say, but no names in particular have been said.
24th of May 2010

My case is solved. A bunch of Ajax members now need to sit some time in jail and grab a ban from football business. I now could finally go for a vacation. Me and Maria drove back to Valenciennes villa for those few weeks I could rest.

11th of June 2010

I was just back and already started off with my transfer season. I called to a defender I have followed for a long time. I had him in Valenciennes for a short time, now I signed him to be here. Ofcourse it's the Italian centre-back Michele Canini who signed for 750 000 pounds from Valenciennes.

16th of June 2010

The transfer season was getting very busy with last few days and phone-calls coming from every corner of the world. Sort of. Anywya, another new contract was signed and hands were shaked with 26-year old Dutch winger Marco de Borst. 100k signing from Go Ahead, is set to be a back-up player for us. He plays in the left. Nice defensively and offensively.

18st of June 2010

I made a big signing of the summer that day. 1 million deal saw us signing right-back Paul Verhaeg from Midtylland. The Dutch right-back is set to take a place in first place and he has showed some very promising games in his past. He is certainly better than the guys he is suceeding.

21st of June 2010

Dut to some coaches retring, I had to reinvent my coaching staff. I picked the method I used in Valenciennes. I have specialised who only concentrate on one ability to train players in. One of the big new names in the coaching staff was former full-back Roberto Carlos. I also hired some guys from Valenciennes.

24th of June 2010

I made my 4th signing of the summer already as promising 22-year old striker Jonas van Hooydonck moved over for a 1 million fee from Gouden Gids Divisie side Zwolle. He's finishing is great and he was scored nearly 30 goals last season.

1st of July 2010

In winter, I had wrapped up several deals for some players. The two most important of them was involving central midfielders Jaime Valdes and Jan Vertoghen. Both 2 are set to be starters for us. The first one, Chilean, will be in more attacking role, but Belgian Vertoghen in the same roll as Steef Nieuwendall last seaon. The other signing was 25-year old Dutch centre-back Sergio Hellings who is here just to add depth.

Dream on! :undecide:

4th of July 2010

Our opponent for Intertoto first round was some Balkan or Eastern-Europe side Vllaznia. Our first game was in home, but I couldn't play with 1st July signings since the squad had to be handed over just before I they came.

Intertoto First Round, Leg 1
Willem II 4:0 Vllaznia (16. Cengizhan Topal, 32. Willem Janssen, 45. Jonas Van Hooydonck, 67. Christoph Mattes)

So we were through for the next round for sure. We just had to keep the score in away leg. Very nice game from the lads. Our 4 striking players all managed to score to make the win even more nicer. They had just 1-2 chances to score.

11th of July 2010

So our plane trip got me to unknown place, since I did not ask where are we going. I was hoping for a decent match and gave some players rest to keep them from getting injuries.

Intertoto First Round, Leg 2
Vllaznia 0:1 Willem II (86. Vartan Mazalov)

Our substitution Mazalov got us a well deserved victory and a 5:0 aggregate win. We should have played better, but I was not dissappointed. The last two words can not be used for our next round draw though. We have to meet Dortmund, who is by a doubt one of the best teams in the competition.

The Results Of Leagues/Major Tournaments

World Cup - 1. England, 2. Argentina, 3. Spain, 4. Brazil
Champions League - 1. Chelsea, 2. Bayern
Uefa Cup - 1. Valencia, 2. Barcelona
England - 1. Aston Villa, 2. Manchester United, 3. Liverpool, 4. Chelsea
Italy - 1. Juventus, 2. Roma, 3. Lazio, 4. Inter
Spain - 1. Barcelona, 2. Valencia, 3. Real Madrid, 4. Deportivo
France - 1. Marseille, 2. PSG, 3. Lyon, 4. Montpellier
Denmark - 1. FC Kobenhavn, 2. OB, 3. Aalborg, 4. Silkeborg
New teams in Holland - Cambuur & RKC (Excelsior managed to save themselves from relegation)

16th of July 2010

"Hello, Jan."
- "Hi, Tanel."
"I would like to let you know that I can't come to Dortmund. I will become father today or tomorrow according to doctors."
- "You certainly can't come?"
"No. I want to be there."
- "I can't really hold you back. I know it's important for you. Though, we would really need you in Germany to keep our hopes live."
"So you accept my request?"
- "Yes, I do. Feel free to go."

17th of July 2010

For strange reasons, doctor's didn't let me to be there with Maria while she is giving the birth. So I had to watch Bruce Almighty, a movie which is like 6 years old, in waiting room. The time they were at the part, where Evan Baxter was in news and saying "And he's tiny little nipples went to France..." doctor called me in and said everything went well.

It was a boy and before we have decided to give him a English name, since he will surely not put his butt down in Tilburg. I'm not sure who we will choose, but most likely we'll give a name that could fit with his family name, "Tursk", so this has to be a name used in Estonia also.

Maria was tired, but very happy. She had tears of joy in her eyes. Anyway, I called to Jan Vullings, told him that I got a boy and asked for the match result from Dortmund. He congratulated me, but clearly was not happy with the match. 3:0 loss was not that we had excepted. From what he said, we left a lots of chances ruined.

25th of July 2010

My baby had already been named Tom (Thomas for long). But I was concentrateing to turn around the result from Germany as we met again in Tilburg on that day. My hopes weren't high, but we wanted to go out with our head held high.

Intertoto Second Round, Leg 2
Willem II 0:1 Dortmund

We domitnated this match for exactly 9 minutes, since that was the time, when we got a red card and a penalty for Dortmund. 4:0 defeat was a bit embarassing for us, but I wasn't too downhearted. Just angry with the draw. Sparta Rotterdamn got some easy Balkan team to compete with.
