The mighty Jason Young was at Penicuik Athletic last season (along with ex-Jambo Kevin Twaddle  ) but he's no longer on their squad listings, so has either retired on gone on to play for someone even worse.
By the way, I went to school in Penicuik and went to see Atheltic play a couple of times last season (a guy I went to school with plays for them), so I'm guessing I'm the only person on FMS to have seen Young play in real life. Which clearly makes me cooler than anyone else
Oh, and good luck with the story, Emmenaar |

November
November 6th, Bradford PA 0-0 Hucknall 5-4fav Andrew Appleby replacing Daly. 2 shots in the first half, 1 in the second half. Boring match.
Craig Owen will be missed for 3-4 weeks.
November 10th, Bradford PA 2-0 Trafford 1-6favs FA Trophy 2nd QR. Caulfield replacing Owen, no other substitutions. Appleby scoring in the 9th minute, we kept dominating the game. Appleby's 56th minute header secured the win.
November 13th, FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round draw: Bradford PA - Weston-Super-Mare (ECS) Game to be played on november 24th.
November 17 Hinckley 2-3 Bradford PA 4-1 Brian Oliver makes his debut as striker, replacing Appleby. Hinkley came 0-1 up halfway the first half, Oliver equalising just before halftime. Oliver made his debut even more impressive when we put us 2-1 up in the 50th, Hinkley replied in the 78th minute. Just when it looked like Hinckley would hold on to the draw Oliver did the almost impossible by scoring a hattrick on his debut in the 93rd minute, giving us the 3 points.
November 24th Bradford PA 1-1 Weston-Super-Mare 5-4 WPM being the better side, they scored after 12 minutes. Made some tactical changes and that paid off, Boto scoring the equaliser in the 35th. The second half was boring, the replay is going to be played in 4 days.
November 25, FA Trophy First Round draw: Bradford or Weston SM will play either East Thurrock or Dag & Red on december 15th.
November 28th Weston-Super-Mare 2-3 Bradford PA 6-4fav Fielded a B team, only regular to play was Welch. The reserves started dominating, but our GK (Kelly) wasn't woken up on time, so after 20 minutes we were 0-2 down. Paul replacing the disappointing Kelly after the 2nd goal. After a red card 1 minute later for a WSM defender plus a converted penalty (Greaves) we looked to get back into the game. Matthews putting the halftime score level in the 4th minute of injurytime. In the second half we kept pushing and the attacking formation paid of 2 seconds before the game ended, Brian Oliver scoring a 93rd minute winner.
We face dag & Red in the First Round
Neill Fry sustained a bruised rib and is out for 1-2 weeks, Gavin Kelly suffering from a stubbed finger and will be unable to play for 2-6 days.
League Table on november 30th:
1. Southport 13-34
2. Moor Green 14-28
3. Barrow 13-27 4. Bradford PA 13-26
5. Stafford 14-25

December.
December 1st, Gateshead 3-0 Bradford PA 6-4fav With a full, normal team again. Owen and Daly both returned from injuries the last couple of days and both can start. Embarresment says enough. We had 1 shot, a penalty and Daly managed to miss it.
Elam got injured and is out for 2-4 weeks.
December 5th Bradford PA 0-0 Gainsburough 5-4fav Daly and Lyons both out of the team after last weeks loss, Elam was replaced by Cattermole. 14 Shots on target, none went in. Another embarresment.
December 8th Bradford PA 1-2 Alfreton 7-4 Hall, King, Caulfield and Boto removed after the last game, in come Fox, Ravenscroft, Oliver and Bunn. Daly scored our first goal in december after 19 minutes. Alfreton scored twice after halftime so we lose another embarresing match. We drop outside the playoff spots.
December 15th Bradford PA 0-1 Dag & Red 7-2 Davidson, Bunn, Owen and Oliver go out, Paul, Quinn, Boto and Caulfield come back into the squad. Game was a waste of time.
December 22nd Frickley 0-2 Braford PA 13-8 Another switched team, now Owen, King and Davidson return. Craig Owen's 1st and 67th minute goals were enough for a much needed win.
December 26th Harrogate 2-2 Braford PA 13-8 Harrogate didn't deserve the draw after getting 2 shots in the whole game. Caulfield's goal and a own goal wasn't enough to give Bradford the 3 points they deserved.
Brad Elam is out for 1-2 weeks with a facial injury.
December 29th Bradford PA 1-3 Barrow 7-4 Paul as GK instead of Davidson, Hall losing his place to Fox. Both players are put in the reserves after the very bad preformance they had last match. Cattermole replacing the injured Elam. The match is as the previous ones, embarresing. Daly scoring our only goal (out of 7 shots on) while Barrow had enough on 2 shots on and a own goal from Cattermole. Cattermole got a 1 week fine after this poor performance.
League Table
1. Barrow 20-42
2. Southport 19-41
3. Gateshead 20-38
4. Stafford 20-37
5. Alfreton 20-34 7. Bradford PA 19-31 |

Janaury 2008
january 1st Nuneaton 1-1 Bradford PA 9-4 Worsnop replacing Paul in goal. M. Davidson replacing Cattermole as leftback. Kevin King's first half goal. Nuneaton equalised after an hour. Lyons got sent off in injury time and got a 2 week fine.
Daly sustained a gashed leg and will be out for 1-2 weeks.
Janaury 3rd, Neill Jenkins (DL), Simon Weatherstone (AMC) and Kyle Allcock (ST) join on free transfers where Cattermole and Silgram are released on free transfers.
January 8th, Moor Green 3-0 Bradford PA 6-4fav Usual story, embarresing performance. It keeps the teamtalks easy.
Janaury 12th Bradford PA 3-0 Vauxhall Motors evens(fav) Hall back in Fox' DM place. Brian Oliver scoring twice before half time, Sam Hall securing the win in the 74th minute.
Tony Boto sprained a wrist and is out for 1-2 weeks.
January 14th, Craig Owen is sold to Newcastle Utd. for 500k euro. Rumours were he "could be the next Beckham" so keeping him was a tough task. The transfermoney is very welcome for a small club like Bradford and maybe we could get something from the 30% sell on fee.
Janaury 16th, [b]Stafford 1-1 Bradford PA{/b] 9-4 Both sides didn't deserve a win. Townsend heading in a 67th minute corner after Stafford scored their goal 1 minute before.
January 19th, Bradford PA 1-1 Marine 5-4fav First shot we had went in (Oliver), kept dominating but drew once again after some poor defending. We drop to 10th place
January 23rd, Bradford PA 2-0 Southport 7-4 Greaves first half header and King's second half goal secured a good win against league leaders Southport. A confident performance in goal by Liam Paul helped a lot too. Up to 8th place.
January 25th, David Senior ML, 18yo joines on a free transfer.
January 26th Bradford PA 4-1 Leigh RMI 5-4fav Boto back, Greaves out. Oliver scoring after 62 seconds and doubeling the lead in the 8th minute. Leigh pulled one back immediatly after halftime, but Caulfield and King secured the win before the hour mark. Another place up in the league, it's 7th place now.
Janaury 29th, Lancaster 0-3 Bradford PA 6-4fav Brian Oliver scored twice in first half (20, 40) Boto secured the win in the final seconds. Have to say the game was partly won because the Lancaster strikers played really bad.
Played a massive 8 games this month, only lost 1. Good comeback in the last 3 games after the team looked like they're missing Craig Owen.
League Table:
1. Stafford 27-51
2. Southport 27-50
3. Barrow 27-50
4. Moor Green 27-49
5. Gateshead 27-48 7. Bradford PA 27-46 |

February
February 2nd, Bradford PA 1-0 Burton Albion 3-1 Caulfield putting us 1-0 up in the 16th which was enought to secure a good win. Liam Paul fully deserved his MoM award. We climb back into the playoff spots, 4th place, too bad some teams played 1 games less.
Sam Hall bruised a rib and will be missed for 1-2 weeks.
February 5th, Tom Greaves suffering from a groin strain and is out for 2-4 weeks.
February 9th, Hyde Utd 4-3 Bradford PA 6-4fav 2 Changes, Fox replacing injured Hall and King is tired and replaced by Senior who'll make his debut. 0-2 Down within 8 minutes. Caulfield got injured after 15 minutes and was replaced by Jenkins. Oliver pulled one back for us, but Hyde immediatly replied. Senior scoring a penalty 2 minutes after ht and Oliver putting us back level in the 65th. Ofc Hyde scored after that so we lose after a good run. We drop to 6th place.
Senior bruised a rib and is out for 1-2 weeks, Caulfield bruised a thigh and is also out for 1-2 weeks. Matthew Swift pulled a hamstring and will be out for 3-5 weeks.
February 11th, Paul Ellis D/WB RL, 17yo joines on a free transfer.
February 13th, Kevin Gilligan DM, 29yo joines on a free transfer.
February 16th, Bradford PA 2-0 Hednesford 6-4 Senior, Caulfield and Swift out, Ravenscroft, Bunn and Lyons replacing the three injured players. Oliver's 10th minute shot and Ravenscroft penalty close to the break were enough to see off Hednesford.
February 18th, Tommy Price M RL joines on a free transfer.
February 23rd, Wakefield-Emley 0-0 Bradford PA 5-4fav Brad Elam missing a penalty after 3 minutes, that being the only highlight of the whole game.
February 24th, League Cup final: Aston Villa 1-1 Man.Utd, Man Utd win 3-2 on penalties.
League Table:
1. Stafford 31-59
2. Barrow 31-57
3. Moor Green 31-56
4. Burton 31-55
5. Gateshead 31-54 7. Bradford PA 31-53
With 11 games remaining the gap between 1st and 9th place is just 7 points. It's difficult to tell who is going to win the league and who'll play the playoffs.

March
March 1st, Greaves returning from injury, while Jon Daly gets injured, he twisted a knee and is out for 1-4 weeks.
March 1st Bradford PA 0-0 Worksop 5-4fav Hall back in Fox' place. Boring says enough.
March 3rd, Richard Fox damaged his foot and will be missed for 1-4 weeks
March 8th, Bradford PA 1-0 Hinckley 4-1 Ravenscroft and Bunn out, King and Caulfield back in. Waetherstone got himself injured after only 8 minutes and was replaced by Oliver. Greaves scoring our first goal in 3 games after 15 minutes. Caulfield left the pitch injured in the 86th minute.
Weatherstone is out for 1-2 weeks with a bruised thigh, Caulfield 2-5 weeks with a pulled hamstring.
March 15th, Hucknall 1-3 Bradford 13-8 Midfield and attack rotated a lot because of the many injuries there. A fantastic first half display (17(10) shots) and "only" 3-0 up at halftime. Oliver scoring the first (17) and Boto scoring twice (32, 45). Hucknall converted their only chance deep in the second half, rejecting Liam Paul 5 clean sheets in a row. We climb back into the playoff spots.
March 21st, Weatherstone returns from injury on the day the FA Cup semi finals are drawn:
Leyton Orient (L2) - Man City (Prm)
Spurs (Prm) - Norwich (Ch)
March 22nd, Gainsburough 0-3 Bradford PA 5-4fav No changes in the team. It took Ravenscroft 37 seconds to put us 1-0 up. Oliver scoring from our second chance in injurytime saw us 2-0 up at halftime. Allcock scoring our third in injurytime. Bunn took the MoM award which should have gone to Liam Paul who played a fantastic game. We climb to 4th place, but Barrow has one game in hand.
March 24th, Bradgord PA 1-2 Gateshead 64fav Ravenscroft missing a penalty in the 17th minute, Gateshead managed to score a total fluke halfway the first half. We kept dominating, but the strikers failed to do anything with all the chances they had. Gateshead managed to get one more shot on target before Allcock finally scored for us. Too late. We lost a game which could have closed the gap to the first place.
March 29th, Alfreton 0-2 Bradford PA 7-4 Jon Daly returns into the starting 11, but gets injured after just 5 minutes. Boto scoring in te 21st, Oliver scored the 2-0 just before halftime. After the break Alfreton tried to get back, but Liam Paul kept another cleansheet. We climb one place to 3rd.
Jon Daly is out for 1-2 months.
League Table:
1. Gateshead 37-69 (+23)
2. Southport 37-67 (+16) 3. Bradford PA 37-66 (+23)
4. Barrow 36-66 (+15)
5.Hinckley 37-64 (+14)
------
6. Stafford 37-64 (+9)
7. Burton 37-61 (+14)
8. Moor Green 37-60 (+3)
9. Hyde 37-58 (+13)
10. Alfreton 37-58 (+7)
Nothing to tell with just 5 games to go. Alfreton hold a 6 point lead above 11th placed Worksop. At the bottom it looks like Leigh, Wakefield and Gainsburough are going down, 19th placed Marine now 5 points above the relegationplaces.
