I have joined hearts in the 10/11 season and star striker Jamie Mole wants to move to a bigger club and his contract us up at the end of teh season! Obviously he is turning down contract offers from me but has anyone had any experience in changing someone's mind in this situation? thanks

Usually no but it's not impossible.

It depends on how far into the season you are because only some silverware will possibly raise the clubs reputation enough to make him want to stay. If there's no chance of you winning at least the league or a cup then I'd sell him while you can.

Even if you do win something he still might decide to leave, all depends on who comes in for him.

AH right! well I took over when they were already out of the first scottish cup, but I'm top at the moment so who knows lol, thanks for the response

I took over a team halfway through a season, and a top player who wanted to leave turned around after a couple of months playing under me, and he requested to stay at the club.

Have a look on Mole's personal screen. It may indicate why he wants to leave Hearts, eg. another player he doesn't like, no regular 1st team football, wants another challegne, thinks he deserves to play for a bigger club.

Although you may consider Hearts to be a big club.

I have a Scottish striker in FM07 who I signed for Stockport in the Championship and was really pleased to get him. He played in our promotion winning season quite happily, but then a few weeks into the Premiership season he started wanting to move to a bigger club, his morale was constantly Very Poor and when he did play he never scored.

Now 3/4 of the way through the season we has suddenly become quite happy to be at Stockport...shame really because had he got off his backside earlier on in the season and played to anything like his potential we might have had a chance of staying in the Premiership and being the "big" club he wanted to move to.
Instead he becomes happy at the club when we are 14 points adrift and heading back down to the Championship!

Drop them and dont let them play and then sell them.
I've had players request transfers and I just refuse to let them play even reserve team football!
That will teach those egotistical scumbags
