The idea is correct, but the implementation of this feature has a few flaws.

It is very annoying. Playing as Spurs and the chairman accepts 13 million for Lennon from our great rivals Arsenal, when i Know i can usually get at least 25 mill for him.

Happened to me too....managing Chelsea and the chairman sold Mikel for 13.25m to AC Milan just at the end of the Jan transfer window. He was a wonderkid too which pi$$ed me off even more!!

If you read the fix list for the last beta patch you'll see that the threshold at which a chairman will sell a player over your head has been raised.

There are other factors which affect it too like your chairmans personality.

I always thought the chairman wont accept offers if the player is a key player

i,m at end of 1st season at arsenal, loads of money in bank etc, then chairman goes above my head and accepts 7.5 million for troure (young left back) could have been a number of factors i suppose.. could be that he's only a hot prospect and the offer was too good or that i,m very inexperienced so he (the chairman) would get involved more.. doesn't seem right though considering how healthy the club is. anyway i just went in and offered him a new contract with squad status as rotation and a fair bit more money, he accepted and the barca bid vanished!! happy days. (with beta patch version)
