Bigger transfer budget after rejecting first contract offer?
I've been offered a new 2-year contract by my club. They've offered me either a £5.5m transfer and £1.7m wage or a £1.9m transfer and £1.8m wage budget.
I want a bigger transfer budget though - particularly as my current wage budget is only £680,000.
If I reject this contract offer will the club come back with an improved transfer budget with a new contract offer? Or is it usually a case of putting the same offer to me if I ask them for a new contract?
My target was a respectable finish and I'm 8th with two games in hand on most of those above me. The club and fans are delighted with the progress. The club is listed as "rich" and has a balance of £27m. The chairman is rich and the club's sponsorship deal is about to be renewed.
With this, is it possible that my transfer budget will be added to during the summer break anyway?
