I'm playing as Man U and Carlos Queiroz's contract is up for renewal. He want's 26k p/w and my board will only allow me to offer 25k p/w, small difference so thought CQ would still accept but no, he keeps refusing cos the basic wage is unacepptable. I've tried varying the contract length and even offering him a £1m signing on fee! And he still turned it down! Surely the 1 million quid would have made him forget about a poxy grand a week!
Yeah he wont even negotiate a new contract in my game. It just gives you a chance to customise your own backroom staff a bit more without the huge payoffs. It's not like having Queiroz is going to help you tap into the Portuguese talent, doesn't work like that in the game anyway!
Yeah you're right I should look for a new one, just being lazy as Queiroz has World Class rep so easier to keep him, and everyone good I've looked at are on long expensive contracts.
