Rep Power: 40 | Question on squad rotation - please help!!
I am having problems with squad rotation policy, some times players get upset and demand first team football even though i thought i gave them decent amount, for the rotation does the game only consider first division games or does it also count cup/champions etc. to satisfy players needs? for example say for rotation, i give them 10 first division games and 10 other games = 20 games but they are only happy to stay?
How many games should i be giving every player? and also youths? please share what you do, and how many players you have on ur squad thanks all

mostly those players who complain have their reasons they don't play because they can't reach your first 11 or substitute bench
don't worry if a crap player comes and says "i wanna' play dude..." leave him be
if a good player says something like that then you should give him some matches no mater in which competition
the decision is yours who will play and who not say to them i'm the boss

only problem is i love buying players lol!!
i keep 3 goalkeepers, 2 right bacs, 2 left backs, 4 centrebacks, 2 right mid, 2 left mid, 3 dm, 2 amc, 4 strikers i think is bit too much to satisfy everyone ;-) but each of them is important because if one injured im screwed
is this amount of players standard?

i think yes you should have players that cover all the positions (i mean as subs)
if a player gets injured put the second one in and he'll play after you'll see if the others play well to and of course if he's not a low talented guy with maximum attributes of 9 |

| Yes, my 1st team always has 2 players for each position and my best 2-3 youngsters.
After each game I sort by fitness and select the fittest 11 for the next game. This of course changes here or there depending on quality of opposition and the importance of the game.

If your winning enough they won't throw a tantrum anyway.

| loan some of the younger ones out?
i tend to have a spare 11 i can call on, be in on the subs bench or out on loan with a recall clause.

Your problem might just be in their Squad Status.
Lowered status will lower their expectations

I don't try to have too many senior (aged 24+) players competing for the same position. One senior and one young pretender seems fine for me, especially if they're content to play reserve games when not selected, too

My squad usually looks like this..
GK - A number one (played always, unless injured), a reserve standard keeper and a good youngster.
DR/DL/MR/ML - One first choice for each, one promising player for each.
DC/MC - Three first team standard and a promosing youngster.
FC - Two first team standard players and two promosing youngsters.
