Well, to be fair, SI is trying to bring the game forward however they probably overdone it a bit and made some bugs.
But lets be patient and carry on support them.

Reminds me of Trappatoni's wolf whistle...
Of course, this would have be well thought out or could be something exploitable. Perhaps a manager could be allowed the attempt to improve a player's performance once or twice a game/half. There could be a downside if a manager was too hard on a player, perhaps on a consistent basis.
| Someone with the right ideas.
I love to see it done so you have options on the bottom bar that allow you to give insructions to players during play like "keep going your fine" "We need to get a goal" "We need to find another goal" "Keep your head up" "One more lads just one more goal" "Dont get too complacent" "We need to defend this lead now"
And there could be a rating system where by players would perform better due to the extra push or get fed up of the manager shouting at him and thus drop his performance.

I think its a step sideways, rather than backwards, Hving said that its still the best FM ever, unfortunately, if you played 06 and 07 its not a big enough leap to justify £25, thats why I paid £17 |

| if you read my post i never said the games not good, i still think fm 08 is better than it's rivals cm or fifa manager, but the game has not come on since fm 06 is what i'm saying and the game should be ironed out of bugs by now they've had 2-3 years to fix the match engine for instance and other aspects like media and transers and team talks amongst alot of other stuff but it gets overlooked, maybe for fm live?

i agree that there are some really overinflated transfer fees, but James Vaughan is kinda a bad example to be honest - he's a VERY VERY good young player, and is only gonna get better too...

I totaly agree about the transfer thing the guy who said he finds it easy to offload players cant remember who sorry just skim read it I would like to ask how you do it because the only way I can find to sell players is at about 50% or less of their value for unwanted players which is reasonable i suppose and world beaters at a bit above because if you negotiate too much he goes in a huff and demands listing and your stuck with a low price again however go to any team and enquire about any players who arent needed their and the demand in some cases 5x their value for an unwanted player!!! yet will sell them to any no player club for a pittance of what they demand for you I mean WTF I can understand if it was a rival club and a star but its ridiculus every AI team gets better deals and why is that more realistic for example you get on well with the manager of man utd (that silly thinks the two of you could become friends thing) and your playing as sunderland you negotiate for John O'shea and are at 4x his value before they will accept and portsmouth bid just above his value and its accepted immediatly what is the point in making managers like you it does bugger all they still nick the shirt of your back and two clubs who are not rivals to the selling club at all have roughly equal value and one is forced to pay 4x the amount for no damn reason how is that realistic its a giant pain because for mediocre players you have to spend most of your money because the stars cost so much you bankrupt yourself to afford them and some other git get a lowly bid accepted and you get a kick in the teeth from some git of a manager. and try this ok start a game as sunderland or any club i suppose i only tried it as them and make a loan bit to man utd for johnaton evans but check out how many clubs are interested b4 you do 0 ten seconds after your bid I had 45!! I mean why why only be interested ifthe player is and you have to pay a fee and 100% and other clubs dont it is making me tempted to try fifa manager which I would rather not do I am an FM fan but this boils my blood.

What is wrong with people? ... Fm 08 is the most realistic football manager game right now. The match engine is 1000 times better than Fm 07.
