I am using a load of logos in my game and have found the Premiership Kits on sortitoutsi. I've put them into graphics folders and they all work fine
I had a go at making my own kits and have made a load of Blue Square North kits as good as those in the game
However I have tried calling them everything burscough_home for example and placed them absolutely everywhere but they never load in game!
Can anyone tell me where I should be storing these mydocuments/sportsinteractive/FM2008 ... then where
The Premiership kits are not even in a folder yet work titled simply arsenal_home.
If someone can tell me how to do this I will happily make all the missing kits I can and share with everyone but I'm not spending hours doing them if I can get them in the game!
I don't suppose anyone has a template or can I take the config file that has already been done for the premiership kits and just add in all of the ones that I have made?

You can use that as a template as to how to set out your own. Delete the premiership entries and create entries for the clubs you have made. Just open the xml file in notepad or another text editor.
You'll need the unique ID for each club (tick 'show unique ID's' in game prefs to see them as the sub-title on each team). Use each ID as the number in an entry linking to the name of the kit png you have made.
Save the config.xml in the same directory as your kits (It's best to have a seperate directory for kits you've made - if you want everything in one big folder don't create a new config.xml, add to the one already there). Make sure you save the file as an xml file and not as a text file (use save as type "all files" and call it config.xml)
ok, many thanks underground!
it makes sense, except that the files one downloads are *.rar (and usually contain the info of all the teams in a league).
how do you extract the individual kits/logos etc. from these files?
