Why is it that whenever I try to get a player to sign up for 2 years I always get the message that
they've put pen to paper on a one year deal!? Does this happen to anyone else?

It's really annoying.

A similar thing happens to me when negotiating existing contracts; if a player is approaching the end (you usually get a six months heads up) and then I negotiate a 1 year deal I then get anther heads saying that their contract is about to expire. They know want even more money to sign a newer contract! Suck! To get them to stay another year they have to sign a 2 year deal.

i think its be done to include the lenghth of the current contract in with the new one
