Usual sh*t: won't be bolding important parts, everything in here is important...
With the imminent release of FM2007, it's time for the annual FMS Awards. You all know we're working with a system of two interim voting rounds this year, which has already qualified some stories for the final later this month. In principle, four final slots are available in each category though, and for this reason we'll have a third and last nomination round first. The difference between this and the previous rounds is that this time around, it isn't neccessary to obtain a-third-plus-one of the (valid) votes to qualify. Instead, it's a first-past-the-post system for however many places are still available in each category. Furthermore, your nominations for categories like Writer of the Year are now welcome.
Same drill as always: send your votes to fms@zelenazvezda.com and claim them in this thread. Anyone who has voted (validly) in the first two interim rounds or this last nomination round is automatically eligible to vote in the final (provided his account isn't suspended). Anyone else will have to put forward a good case to be allowed to vote in the final, this to prevent vote-wh0ring.
The subject line of your vote e-mail should contain your display name and the round you're voting in!
Please C&P the form below and add your own nominations. A minimum of 8 (out of a possible 17) valid nominations are required for your vote in general to be recognised. For more details on each category, please visit www.zelenazvezda.com and check the FMS archives -> awards section.

Obviously, you can't vote for stories listed as having already qualified for the final either.
Voting runs until Tuesday 17 October, 20:00 CET. Results TBA the same night, and the final will start either the same evening, or a day later, and runs until Saturday 28 October. The preliminary date for the ceremony is Sunday 29 October, some time in the evening. All dates are subject to confirmation and may change if the forum decides there is a compelling reason to do so.
Anyone interested in hosting the ceremony or with suggestions for a virtual candidate city can e-mail me on the aforementioned addy.

FMS Awards 2006 - Third & Last Nomination Round Post #2
But I'll probably forgive you, given how brilliant the turnout is
Stu: sorry, don't have that up-to-date. Really just anyone who's done a story updated since roughly 01.12.2005 who you don't remember writing before. I'll run a check on that once the votes are in.
As you probably noticed, I've committed mass euthanasia on half the forum, we're down from 1,148 to 553 threads (as of yesterday afternoon). This is all part of a major clean-up ahead of the updating of the FMS archives (Kris is helping me with that one). After that, our stories of yesteryear that are still on here will be in the Index (which will then be updated at last) and will be taken from here.

If no-one else votes, I think its only fair I get to claim all the awards.
Yeah well, there are 17 open to all FMSers, but for 8 of them I've received your brown envelope in time, and of course there's the Lifetime Award for Story, Character and Writer, as well as The People's Choice and the Press Award, so there's another five with your name on it. Should hit 3 dozen or so for your career this year
And come to think of it, flippers has you in his will as the sole beneficiary. So that's another 12 or thereabouts? Although TBF they're lesser awards.

FMS Awards 2006 - Third & Last Nomination Round Post #9
BTW, I'm not gonna be picky as to what address I receive e-mail on. After killing off most of the spam, hardly anyone mails me these days, so I'm just happy with the attention
