| As far as I'm aware you can't do that since it isn't a playable league - all you can do is select to retain all players from Faroe Islands. Quote:

David Privas was allegedly born in France but doesn't hold that nationality - mind you he isnt a regen and thats probably just a research error. A couple of other players were born in Denmark but are not considered Danish. Of course having these players is quite useful and Danes/Icelanders are going to be much better than the overwhelming majority of Faroese. (Although having said that I did find a 29 year old Faroese at a Faroese club with a PA of 172 He was pish though.)
But anyway enough of that, spoiling the illusion that this is more than just a silly game :p
| I wouldn't concern yourself with it at all! Difference between your game and mine must just be you having Danish and Icelandic leagues active (I only have English) which makes sense really. There are obviously strong connections between Denmark and Faroes and in modern football were nations are trying to grab anyone who can possibly qualify for them, it is not at all unrealistic that numerous Danish players would have Faroese qualifications - their best player in real life was Danish nationality in CM 03/04!
As for the rest, any success you achieve with the Faroes in CM/FM is fantastic - whatever about the minor issues, you still only have a tiny pool of mostly useless players to choose from. My successes in CM 03/04 with the Faroes were due in no small part to the fact that it was 2020 at the end and all the other nations without active leagues or included players were playing with pretty pish regens. FM has largely sorted that problem so you are ok on that score and doing excellently |

That's exactly what I was trying to say, in my clumsy manner :o
As you mentioned, the Faroese nation is very linked to Denmark, but it's also got a long history of linking to Iceland. In fact they've had players in the Icelandic football leagues for the better part of 30 years now. |

Rep Power: 0 | UEFA Champions League 3rd Qualfying Round
A tough and demanding trip to the former European Champions of Steaua, daunting though it may be, was a far from unsurmountable task. It would require though a degree of improvement over the early games of the season so far, but there was certainly the potential there to progress and if the side could come back from Bucharest with the match still in the balance then there was a great chance they could do this. There had been a minor problem for Olaf in that of course you need to register four players 'grown' at the club and another four 'raised' in the country. Anders Berg, Peter Damgaard, Christian Holst and Gunnar Nielsen had all come through the ranks of youth in Denmark, but as to the other four places Olaf was forced to register young Danish players and so effectively operated with a Euro squad of 21 players. Just what effect this might have would probably be irrelevant if Steaua weren't overcome anyway.
A decent enough start in Bucharest from Olaf's side, but just after the half hour, the best laid plans went off the rails again, as Ioan Ionescu sent Steaua into the lead. Kobenhavn were showing signs of improving in recent matches, but they would need to pull it all together here to get a result and just seven minutes later it was Anders Berg who levelled the tie and gave his side a valuable away goal. A draw would have been more than acceptable, but as the match wore on Kobenhavn were looking more and more threatening, and twenty minutes from time Berg struck again to give his side an excellent and well deserved away win.
Of course in football what can go wrong will go wrong and you can never count your chickens before they are hatched. An early goal from Steaua in the Parken and things would start to look very different and for sure the Romanian's were more than capable of winning in Denmark. With just 19 minutes gone though they recieved a devastating blow as Marian Popa stupidly lashed out and punched Peter Damgaard, leaving the referee with no choice but to red card the winger.
The red card though seemed to deflate the home players rather than the visitors and on the half hour Parken was stunned as Andrei Cristea sent Steaua into the lead on the night. The Romanian's only needed one more goal to destroy Danish hopes, but the match seemed to receed into boringness with neither side able to create the chances they needed. In the end, Kobenhavn were left hanging on grimly to a 1-0 defeat that was still good enough to see them through the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
It may not have been the most spectacular way to go through, but with an all Faroese side it was certainly a spectacular achievement. The group stages would pair Kobenhavn with Arsenal, PSV and Olympiakos and even looking at that you could see it wasn't the most difficult group in the world......
