17th October: Russia (12) v England (4); Euro Champs Qualifier

Satrting Line Up: Same as Estonia match

With one point seperating us I knew a win for Russia would see them almost certainly qualify as winners of the group.
This provided the fans with a very tense game, Russia had the first chance ion the game as they shot wide on the 24th minute, It took us till the 38th minute to notch up our first effort as G.Neville's long range effort was well saved by the Russian keeper, four minutes later Russia took the lead after some diabolical defending my back four.
At half time I replaced G.Barry with B.Jones after Barry picked up a knock. Six minutes into the half we equalised as Owen slotted home from 15 yards. We started to control the game but a mixture of brilliant Russian goalkeeping, defending and some poor finishing at times from us cost us the chance of going top

Russia 1 - 1 England (Owen 51)

In the World rankings we drop down three places to 7th with Brazil remaining top

19th - Bolton -- 5pts (8)
20th - Wigan -- 4pts (8)

21st November: England (8) v Croatia (36); Euro Champs Qualifier:

Starting Line Up: Same as Previous Match

We satrted brightly against Croatia with Walcott the star of the show. He came close to breaking the deadlock early on with a stinging shot from 20 yards. We did however open the scoring on the 31st minute as Walcott's cross was headed in by Micheal Owen. Eight minutes later Croatia helped our chance further by putting a goal into the own net to give us 2-0 lead at half time.
The second half started with Croaita nearly scoring with there first attack but Robinson dived well to save. On the 61st minute we killed the game off as Crouch hit a great left foot shot past the diving keeper. On the 66th minute Lampard had to be replaced with a knee injury, Chris Eagles repalced him. With injury time nearly coming to an end we scored again as Owen fired in a brilliant long range effort

England 4 - 0 Croatia (Owen 31, 92, OG 39, Crouch 61)

We finished top of our group and I can now start to prepare for Euro 2008. The draw for the Group Stages are amde on the 6th December

1st February: Premiership so Far

1st - Chelsea -- 51pts (24)
2nd - Liverpool -- 45pts (24)
3rd - Arsenal -- 44pts (23)

Relegation:
18th - Barnsley -- 19pts (24)
19th - Bolton -- 17pts (24)
20th - Man.City -- 15pts (24)

6th February: England (7) v Lithuania (96); Friendly

Starting Line UP:GK - B.Foster, RB - J.Hoyte, LB - B.Jones, CB - L.King, CB - J.Terry (capt), MR - S.Wright-Phillips, ML - S.Downing, MC - T.Walcott, MC - C.Eagles, FC - M.Owen, FC - A.Smith

Subs: C.Kirkland, J.Woodgate, A.Ferdinand, R,Ferdinand, M.Carrick, A.Cole, D.Bent, J.Defoe, K.Richardson

We started brilliantly with Owen opening the scoring after only three minutes, two minutes later Owen just missed doubling the lead. However on the 9th minute we did double our lead as Wright-Phillips fired in from just outside the area. Our joy didn't last too long as Owen was injured on the 13th minute and we had to replace him with D.Bent. This seemed to dampen the mood in aour play for a while. We did however manage to score again late in the half as Wright-Phillips latched onto the loose ball after a scrappy clearnace from the Lithuanian goalie.
At half time I brought on A.Ferdinand and M.Carrick for J.Terry and S.Downing. The second half was very quiet but my players did enough to impress me. The only other thing in the game to note was Chris Kirkland coming on late in the half for Ben Foster

England 3 - 0 Lithuania (Owen 3, Wright-Phillips 9, 45)

13th February: The Wrold Rankings have been released and we remain 7th with the Italians regaining top spot

24th February: This seasons League Cup has been won by West Bromich Albion with a griity 1-0 win over West Ham United. Ronnie Wallwork scored the winner on the 75th minute to send the Baggies wild
