6th June: Estonia (75) v England (2); Euro Champs Qualifier

Starting Line Up:GK - P.Robinson, RB - G.Neville, LB - J.Carragher, CB - J.Terry (capt), CB - R.Ferdinanad, MR - S.Wright-Phillips, ML - S.Downing, MC - F.Lampard, MC - O.Hargreaves, FC - P.Crouch, FC - J.Defoe

Subs: B.Foster, P.Neville, A.Cole, D.Beckham, D.Bent, T.Walcott, J.Cole

Our final game of the season and my players came out strong, we were well in control and Estonia looked very amateur. On the 21st minute we took the lead as Hargreaves netted his first goal for England. Seven minutes later Terry nearly scored but his header went straight to the keepers arms. We doubled our lead on the 35th minute as Defoe continued his impressive scoring form.
The second half was much the same as we kepet Estonia on the back foot. On the 74th minute I brought Beckham and Walcott on for Wright-Phillips and Defoe. It paid immediate dividends as three minutes later Walcott netted his first goal in the England shirt. We were brilliant and on the 89th minute we got our fourth as Crouch rose highest to head the ball in from a Downing corner

Estonia 0 - 4 England (Hargreaves 21, Defoe 35, Walcott 77, Crouch 89)

8th September: England (4) v Israel (62); Euro Champs Qualifier

Starting Line Up:GK - P.Robinson, RB - G.Neville, LB - J.Carragher, CB - R.Ferdinand, CB - J.Terry (capt), MR - D.Beckham, ML - S.Downing, MC - O.Hargreaves, MC - F.Lampard, FC - J.Defoe, FC - M.Owen

Subs; B.Foster, P.Neville, S.Campbell, M.Carrick, J.Cole, P.Crouch, T.Walcott

A good start to the game saw Defoe rattle the crossbar with the first attack of the game, then on the 10th minute Owen who was playing his first England game since the World Cup injury had a shot saved well by the Israeli keeper. We eventually took the lead on the 18th minute as Downing ran clear of the defence to slott past the diving keeper. Eight minutes later the Wembley roof was lifted off as Owen scored our second.
The second half started slow as both teams seemed to be still in the changing room mentally. Ont he 63rd minute I brought Walcott on for Defoe. It didn't seem to have an affect as we struggled with our attacking. On the 75th minute Israel pulled a goal back after some brilliant team play by them. In the 77th minute I brought on P.Neville for Lampard to tighten my midfield. Late in the game the Israeli keeper cleared the ball into our half and Walcoot volleyed it straight back at him, it looped over his head and went in to give Walcott probably one of the best goals Wembley has ever seen, a brilliant 70 yard volley. Two minutes into injury time we scored again as P.Neville netted his first goal in the England shirt

England 4 - 1 Israel (Downing 18, Owen 26, Walcott 90, P.Neville 92)

The win see's us Qualify for Euro 2008, we now face a battle with Russia for top spot and we face them in our next game at Wembley

12th September: England (4) v Russia (11); Euro Champs Qualifier

Starting Line Up:Unchanged

With both teams qualified the game was a bit of a damp squid, We started the brighter and had the first shot but Owens effort went well wide, Russia then started to wake up abit and came at us more and they rattled the crossbar after a great team move. On the 25th minute we took the lead as Lampard fired in a good freekick. We tried our best to get another goal but a mixture of poor finishing and good goalkeeping prevented us.
The second half was only five minutes old when Russia equalised after some poor defending by Ferdinand. On the 61st minute I brought on Crouch for Lampard and changed the formation to a 4-3-1-2, unfortunatly my attacking formation didn't work and we ended up drawing a game we should of won

England 1 - 1 Russia (Lampard 25)

The World Rankings have been released and we stay 4th with the Brazilians taking top spot of the Italians

great installments, good luck with the european championships, hopefully comin out top of the group
really enjoy the way you right, makes it easier to read and take in
mite start one of these stories as they seem enjoyable to mix in with playin fm ordiarily
sharing youre game with a bit of realism (adding occasionally lie about real life not effecting the fm game) seems really good
keep the good work up

6th October: England (4) v French Guyana (138); Friendly

Starting Line Up:GK - B.Foster, RB - G.Neville, LB - P.Neville, CB - L.King, CB - J.Woodgate, MR - T.Walcott, ML - S.Downing, MC - S.Gerrard (capt), MC - C.Eagles, FC - W.Rooney, FC - M.Owen

Subs; D.James, J.Carragher, A.Smith, J.Defoe, P.Crouch, J.Cole, A.Ferdinand, R.Ferdinand, M.Carrick

The press and some of the managers said this game was a waste of time but I saw it as the perfect oppurtunity to see some of my fringe players aswell as giving some good shooting practise for the team.
We starte well and went straight on the attack. It took us till the 12th minute to open the scoring as Gary Neville headed in his first goal for England. We were all over them and on the 19th minute Downing rattled the crossbar. It took us till the 34th minute to score again as Walcott broke free of the defence to slott past the keeper. Unfortunatly on the 34th minute we had to replace Gerrard with Carrick after Gerrard picked up a knock. Rooney then had a chance and shot straight at the keeper. At the break I brought on Crouch, Defoe, Carragher and A.Ferdinand for Rooney, Eagles, P.Neville and G.Neville.
Two minutes after the restart substitute Crouch fired in our third goal to give us a commanding lead. We were dominant and on the 69th minute Defoe added another goal with a long range effort. Ten minutes later it got better as Owen fired in our fifth, the fans were chanting "WE WANT MORE, WE WANT MORE", they got one more goal to cheer about as the Guyana defender scored past his own goalie to give us a good 6-0 win.

England 6 - 0 French Guyana (G.Neville 12, Walcott 34, Crouch 47, Defoe 69, Owen 79, OG 90)

13th October: England (4) v Estonia (71); Euro Champs Qualifier

Starting Line Up;GK - P.Robinson, RB - G.Neville (capt), LB - J.Carragher, CB - R.Ferdinand, CB - G.Barry, MR - T.Walcott, ML - J.Cole, MC - F.Lampard, MC - M.Carrick, FC - M.Owen, FC - P.Crouch

Subs: B.Foster, J.Woodgate, B.Jones, O.Hargreaves, C.Eagles, S.Downing, J.Defoe

After the gola fest against Guyana the fans were expecting the same here, the players however seemed to be struggling alittle with the game. It took us till the 30th minute to get the first shot off as Owen ran clear to swerve the ball round the on rushing keeper, unfortunetly the ball swerved just wide of the post. The fanas were getting restless and at half time there was some booing. I changed formation at half time to a 4-3-3 and Brought on Defoe for Carrick.
We started well enough but for all our attacking the ball wouldn't go in. On the 59th minute lady luck decided to show her face as the Estonian captain decided to put the ball into his own net to give us a 1-0 lead. This seemed to encourage my player alittle more and we started to press the defence more. On the 66th minute Walcott eanr't us a penalty after he was fouled in the area, Crouch stepped up and despatched it comfortbaly. Two minutes later we went further in front as Defoe latched onto a bad back pass to slied the ball past the keeper. To compound the Estonians misery we made it 4-0 with a brilliant team move for Defoe to slot in his second

England 4 - 0 Estonia (OG 59, Crouch pen 66, Defoe 68, 72)
