Amsterdam, September 12TH (Reuters)- Ajax scores 7 goals against Bremen at Amsterdam Arena. Huntelaar found the net early for the home side before Steffen Iversen's first half brace. However, for Iversen was taken off at the break and replaced by young Swiss Striker Doudin after a reckless challenge could see the strong forward up to a month on the sidelines.

Twente Progress

FC Twente progress through to third round in the Dutch Cup with a hard fought win over Ajax at the ArenA. Brama put the visitors ahead, which was the followed up by Engelaar's goal, which threw a lack lustre AJax into life. Huntelaar headed home a reply from a Roger free kick as Ajax lifted the tempo.

At the restart Ajax began to domiante the match but were finidng it difficult to break donw the defence of Twente, who were playing behind the ball. Ajax pushed men forward late in the game but struggled to get any clear shots on target. Ajax manager Kent appeared to frustrated at his sides movement brought Davids on to replace Maduro to dictate the play more to no avail.

Fenerbahce defeat Ajax

Kezman broke the offised trap 5 minutes into the match, much to the protests of the Ajax defence of Stam and Corluka, Referee Steve Bennett waved away the animated Stam who looked disgusted with the call. Ajax struggled again away from home, even with Sneijder being added to the team since his injury.

Kezman again scored after the break to increase the home sides lead. Ajax couldnt find a forward who could make any inpact, with there top 3 forwards all out injured (Iversen, Babel, Huntelaar). Kent's side was forced to go with in-experienced front two of Doudin and South African Lewis, which neither bothered Rustu in goal. Brazilan forward Alex earnt man of the match after his goal, which left Ajax 3 nil down until Spanish winger Gabri took the field on the 60 minute mark and made the most of his opportunity in the 85th minute.

Ajax will hope to have either Huntelaar, Babel or Iversen back within the next week before their top of the table clash against NAC Breda who currently lead the Dutch Premier Divison.

NAC Remain unbeaten

NAC Breda now make 6 wins on the trott as a Tamerus half time goal does enough to get the points against a disapointing Ajax. It was Ajax first loss of the season and never looked like scoring. Goaless draw

Ajax started lively in the first with a greatd dominating spell over the visitors with 9 shots on goal with out luck. Kent opted for youngster Manucharyan up front who looked settled, but shot wide for his best opportunity.

The second half fizzeled out with neither side able to break away, Feyenoord seemed content to sit back and defend, whilst Ajax pushed men forward in a attempted to find the winner that never came.

NAC look to tighten Grip

After the goaless draw at home Ajax now sit 4 points behind NAC Breda (19 points), who look to extend their lead with a game in hand over Sparta (17) and Feyenoord (16) with Ajax back in fourth on (15) points and Title challengers PSV back in 8th (11) with a game in hand. AZ have dissapointed thus far with a meresly (8) points from 7 games, were looking for a top three finish has it work cut out for it.

TV - Wrap up

Nou Camp - Barcelona (ESPN) Ajax grab deserved win, with Ryan Babel leading the way for the visitors. From the outset Ajax looked determined to get a result, and they didnt have to wait long before Ryan Babel tapped in a corner after 5 minutes of play. The visitors continued to press the attack forcing Barcelona to revert to a 442 rather than their preferred 4231.

After the break Brett Kent remain cooled under presure as Barcelona pushed numbers forward looking for an equaliser. Babel started to tire, but a goal against the run of play from Huntelaar who rounded Victor Valdes to the wind out of the home side. Babel grabbed his brace shortly before the whistle and a unchanged Ajax side walked of proud with a impressive 3 nil win at the Nou Camp.

Koevermans Hatrick

DSB Stadion - Danny Koevermans hatrick salavges a point for the home side against pre-season favorites Ajax. It was Ajax quick fire double through Huntelaar and Babel before Koevermans scored his first for the day. Andy van der Meyde opened his account for the season on the 25 minute mark with a reply for Koevermans second, sending Ajax into the break 3 -2 up.

Huntelaar stretched the margin to 2 goals, before Koevermans hatrick strike pulled one back for AZ. Sniejder had a fist full of shirt in the box, which was well picked out referee Dick van Egmond, with Cziommer stepping up with no trouble. Babel went close to earning the winner, but fortunately for the home side he was ruled offside.

Amsterdam (ESPN) - Ajax lead group A in the Champions Cup with an impressive win of Barcelona. Ajax have ow beaten Barcelona in both match days to head group A with 9 points after 4 matches, with there only loss coming from Turkish side Fenerbahce who have manged there only points from that match.

Ajax's Ryan Babel continued his good form in finding the nett on the 36 minute mark only to have it canceled out by Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o just on half time. Ajax remaind firm as Barcelona pushed forward, but a corner to the home side saw Iversen rise above his marker to find the back of the nett. Spanish winger Roger ventured down the left and beat Belletti to cross to a unmarked van der Medye who powered home a nice volley to let Ajax cruse to victory with 5 minutes of normal time left.

However the drama was not all over has Deco beat the defence and was brought down by ex-dinamo star Corluka, who walked with out looking back, Babel was subsistuted for debutee full back Timisela in the 88th minute.
