Big News coming from St James Park as Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder has left the club, his agent has stated that Mr Roeder had a "disaggreament" with Newcastle chairmen Freddy Sheaperd. This has come to a huge surprise to Newcastle fans espically after Glenn Roeder lead them to a fourth place finish last season, bringing Champions League Football Back to St James Park.

Once again we head to St James Park where a amazing turn of events has come about, rookie manager Michael Perks has been appointed the new Newcastle United Manager, it is Perks first job in management and i am sure alot of fans will be unhappy with the appointment.

Newcastle United have made their first new singings of the season, Former Liverpool Right Back Steve Finnan, Birmingham and England Centre Half Matthew Upson and Scottish Young Defender Kirk Broadfoot have all joined the club on free transfers.
Newcastle have today released a large number of players mostly from the youth team. Also leaving the club are Carl Finnagan, Alan O'Brain and Peter Ramage. Finnagan and O'brain have joined Huddesfield with Ramage joining Crystal Palace, a total of 1.7m was made from the sale of these players.
Newcastle have continued to strengeth their squad withtwo more summer signings, 25 year Old Ghanian Striker Matthew Amoah has signed from Vitesse for 4.2m, in addition to that defender Glenn Loovens has signed for 850K from Feyenood and Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge has signed on a year long loan

After a pretty even start, Newcastle took the lead on 31 minutes. lee Clark played a lovely through ball to Albert Lugue who was able to chip Paul Robinson in the Tottenham Goal
On 64 minutes Newcastle made a double substition that made a huge difference, Shaun Maloney replaced Matthew Amoah with Lee Bowyer coming on for James Milner
and on 72 minutes the subs made there impact, a Wayne Bridge throw in was half cleared by Tottenham defence but Steve Finnan collected the ball and drove a shot that hit Shaun Maloney and broke for Lee Bowyer who sloated home from a few yards.
In the 87 minute Robbie Keane played a neat one two with Jermain Defoe and drove his shot under Shay Given to give his team a chance but the game ended 2-1 to Newcastle
